I think the strongest part was the start TBH, we should've ruined them. But the last 20 was also great in that we refused to give up and kept putting them under pressure. I think Fulham were quite similar to Benfica in a way, didn't threaten us for long periods. This time it was because they picked all the tricky/fast attackers but nobody to earn them the right to play, I think. We just made a few too many mistakes and missed a few too many chances to really make it a comfortable afternoon. But could've been a cruise. The ref was also diabolical and seemed to have forgotten his cards, while allowing them to slow down every restart.

I wouldn't say he was great but he was decent with a few errors. Without him on we wouldn't have scored the winner, his pace was what knocked the ball free for Osula. He is obviously low on confidence but way too early to be writing him off.

I don’t know if they had any other option but their approach was wrong. They’re not solid enough to defend deep, they couldn’t really press us and their long balls posed basically zero threat. As I say, I don’t know what the options were for them but they played into our hands.
