Everton have survived for a long time without a competent forward, it can only go on for so long IMO. A bit like Liverpool with Gerrard, if anything happens to Cahill they're fooked.

Got to admit I still have time for Routledge, I think he was dropped too early and maybe it hit his confidence a bit. If he can continue to go past players like he did against Wigan he'll produce his fair share of assists IMO.

I agree, I don't think we sign players because they have a resale value I think we've moved away from signing has-beens and we're much better off for that. I have a pride in most of our players now, I haven't felt like that for years. Totally agree, I've never agreed with the idea we're becoming a selling club, we're just buying players at the right point in their careers now.

Minus N'Zogbia as well, think that was a big plus for us.

Got to admit I've enjoyed what I've heard from Pardew so far. I was gutted when he wa appointed but he seems a pretty positive guy. I think he has the right attitude to be a winner, he just needs the time, backing and a little bit of luck to do it.

Harsh RE Tevez and Mascherano, both were forced on him by the owners half way through a season and he had no knowledge of their abilities and how they would help or disrupt his side.
