  1. Aye, exactly, I was really worried we would do a Zog and replace Enrique before he had a decent chance.
  2. About 5 people in the pub where I was shouted "You what?" when they said at half time that Sunderland "dominated" the first half and had a "well deserved" half time lead.
  3. Get over it Charlie. It's 3am and you're going home with the fat bird. The new Bernard TBH, "I'm looking to move to a massive club".... 3 weeks later... "Ah, no bids? Wigan it is then."
  4. is officially off his rocker. Very surprised he wasn't more positive after the game as well, kept talking about 2 points dropped and shit like that.
  5. A good game today, he actually does have the physical ability to play RB, wouldn't mind seeing him given a chance.
  6. It keeps the scoreboard ticking over, every point is something to be pleased with at the moment, IMO.
  7. Overall reaction... We were the better team just about, although helped a lot by Cisse going off. Bassong was class, as was Enrique, not sure what's happening with Colo at the moment. Carroll will be a proper player in the years to come, very good in the air. Lovenkrands should have come on earlier though, we needed to change things. Jonas was brilliant, yes his final ball is (sometimes) lacking but if another couple of our players threatened the opposition as much as he does we'd be well up the table. If we could have replaced Ameobi and Butt with Barton and Martins we would have won this. Even when they scored I honestly never felt we would lose, we didn't deserve to concede when we did really.
  8. Howay the lads! For those of you who can get to the game, I'm jealous, then again I'm not! Give 'em hell.
  9. I completely agree with your assessment of Nolan and Taylor, but at the moment we are a lower Prem side and as such we need these kind of players. I do think they have enough about them to get us going in the right direction again though.
  10. £12m's a bit steep , it comes down to about £8m we are talking. Agreed.
  11. I've always been a massive fan of Beckham, just a shame he decided to go to America when he did... could still cut it in a decent league... he should have postponed that until the very end of his career.
  12. I wouldn't mind a punt on Bent right now, I know Spurs fans think he can't form a partnership with anybody but surely if anyone can turn that around it's Andy Carroll!
  13. Haven't really seen anything of M'Bia or Ebondo, all I can say is I'm reasonably happy about Nolan and Taylor (if he's confirmed). Too often we've got for risky purchases, we could get away with it when we were doing well but in a scrap we need some solid grafters.
  14. To be fair to the club, they deserve credit if they get Nolan, Taylor and maybe one more. Add that to the last lot of signings and it would suggest that they at least know where our problems lie... unlike our previous skill of signing players in positions we don't need and ignoring the problem areas.
  15. Unbelievable that we, a premiership club, might eventually have a player that can take penalties and one who can take free kicks! Hope his corners are good as well.
  16. Would be a potentially great signing considering his age, can understudy Habib and fill in when needed.
  17. A question, why do clubs keeping signing Diouf?
  18. You say that but I bet man city win alot more than arsenal over the coming years!! I bet they don't. Put your money where your mouth is then?? 20p Make it one English pound!! Whoa, don't go too far lads.
  19. Possible Joe's quote is just a bargaining chip, "we've pulled out for now" doesn't sound completely final.
  20. I suppose if you can't go to one of the top 4 then City are just as good an option as anyone, and there's the massive money to boot. If he was a bit younger I suppose the top 4 would be interested.
