Absolutely, even the way he shoots (for example) is supremely relaxed. Don’t how it’s possibly to play football like that, but it works.

I love it in general, just a couple of small things I thought went too far. Probably inevitable it will cross the line occasionally.

I’m not as down on him as some TBH. He isn’t getting as involved as before for sure, but he’s still showing good hold up play at times and was a key part of that goal that should have been allowed. Isak is going to be better pretty soon of course, if he isn’t already. But if they’re just easing him in then fair enough.

He’s a lovely player, absolutely great to watch. When he starts is a decision for people who know more about his injury and fitness situation, but he’s a class act for sure.

That moment when he shaped to play the cross-field pass and skinned the guy on the inside was fantastic and very impressive. Really showed that he’s making decisions for himself and not just passing because he’s been told to pass. He’ll be some player if he puts it all together.

Always knew he was going to be a huge signing. Big lad.

It was late but it happens all the time. He was skinned and he brought his man down. Just didn’t think Bruno celebrating in his face was a good look. Or the wave.

I like being ruthless and getting in people’s faces when necessary. Just think it goes a bit too far once the guy has already been sent off. It’s not like their player was particularly badly behaved in the game, he just got outplayed.

He’s going beyond even the great level he had reached under Howe already. More power to him.

Thought that was slightly understandable given the situation, Murphy was probably just expecting to keep possession and play it safe. Great ball though.

Been very impressed with how he has applied himself recently. Think it might be difficult to start him ahead of Burn though, Burn looks at his worst when he’s exposed.

I didn’t like Bruno celebrating the red card in the guy’s face like, or the Murphy antics. I like shithousery but once the damage is done you don’t need to lay it on thick.

I think tonight showed that we need more decent players with legs who can carry some of the load. How he’ll do I don’t know, but I can fully understand the interest.

Thought he was MOTM, flawless apart from his second finish.

When he has one second to get it and pass it he’s alright, anything more and he loses the plot. Annoying because he makes good runs but doesn’t have the ability to make the most of it most of the time. Ultimately he will have to come out sooner rather than later.

If we don’t sign Maddison it would be very random and unfair to cite the Gordon signing as the reason. Maybe we just don’t think he fits or the deal isn’t right. Any number of factors.

This signing would be worthy of about 2 pages if he wasn’t such a scouse freak and we didn’t already hate him.
