Maybe suggests that isn’t the case?

TBH I thought Maddison was a complete prick until I started listening to him and paying more attention. I thought Matt Ritchie was try-hard little prat. Doesn’t apply to everyone of course, but you get my point
-
Slightly pricey but he is young and English.
-
Probably why we’re trying to buy him, at a guess
-
He'll really be out on his own hair-wise, most of our squad are more on the conventional neat hair side.
-
I think we probably need to accept that we will be buying a lot of people who are fit, fast and good at pressing. Of course we need creativity and guile too, but that won't be the primary criteria, especially not at this point in our development.
-
Yeah, have considered that angle.
-
Wish Gnonto was in as a midfielder.
-
Depends why he behaves like a dick. If he does it because he really cares and wants to win, that could easily be redirected in a positive way by Eddie and Mad Dog.

Any English footballer who can breathe is worth £30m.

Those photoshops are so funny... "ooh, here's how a players face will look in a slightly different shirt!".
-
Obviously lots of truth in that, guess it's just a factor for us to judge signings. Fans gonna fan.
-
Him and Isak can definitely do a fashion photo shoot for British Vogue.
-
Yeah, much more reasonable.
-
There's definitely a good chance.
-
Might be drawing a bit too much of a conclusion there.

James Maddison (now playing for Tottenham Hotspur)

Totally different profiles though aren't they? It's barely worth thinking about them together. -
Progressive, carries the ball well, fast, good at pressing, can play both sides. Not worth 60m like, but it's a bit of a tough task to say what is value these days.
-
I think he'd be a decent signing but I was expecting closer to 25-30m than 60m. Really can't see us spending that much, it's not like his stock is high.
-
I think we are, you can see that by the way he's playing. FWIW on that TIFO video Gordon was more right and centre than left. Guess he can play them all, but he's right footed.
-
Everton players will die trying to play his style - will be fun though
-
Yeah, definitely wouldn't be generating so much debate if he wasn't such a freak. But I have to trust that we wouldn't sign him unless we'd spoken to him and judged he had the right attitude. I think a lot of his antics for Everton might have been because he cares about the club and they're going down the pan. I dunno of course, but possibly.
