We can't sign a starting centre forward really, we need to go all-in on maximising Isak. Or course if someone is prepared to share the job, no worries.
-
Will be immense to see the big man sign a new deal, cannae wait.

Nobody with a bad fitness record should be considered IMO.
-
Happy to be correct about at least one signing
-
Is the arena site already allocated for something else? Seems almost a no-brainer if that land was easily available.
-
I was a sceptic way back because I thought we only signed him because we didn’t have any other phone numbers. Which might be true TBH. But he’s really benefitted from Howe and looks the absolute real deal now. He’s quite unusual for a CM but he’s obviously very important to us now.
-
Don't think anyone doubts that. It's just too small now.
-
No doubt moving at all has some negatives, but if we move the arena site seems the only good option. Really the key thing is the amount of capacity that could be realistically added to SJP.
-
Hmm, maybe you're right, I think of them both as similar locations TBH. Anyway, the point is really that it's a great location for a PL ground, right beside the centre of town. Not as amazing as SJP of course, but acceptable and better than any other realistic site.
-
The land and location itself is not massively central to the places most people go... if the ground wasn't there.
-
The SJP land is not a key city centre location, it’s on the outskirts really.

Get Leif Davis does sound like arthouse cinema.

Chelsea vs. Newcastle United: 11/3/24 @ 20:00 (Sky Sports)
AyeDubbleYoo replied to HaydnNUFC's topic in Football
Think West Ham is almost a harder game than Chelsea. Albeit you never now which version will turn up. -
I don’t see any practical downsides to the arena site, think that’s my preferred option assuming they can’t get SJP up to a big enough capacity. They are both the city centre.

But if people think Miggy is too left-footed they will not like Olise.
-
I think everyone needs an England supporter number (FAN) to book at the moment.
-
Gordon and Willock did a great job of helping down the left and limiting the damage that Neto could do.
-
I think he would've been a lot better if it wasn't for the Bruce years. He's limited but he's much more useful than a lot of people think. Especially in a pressing team.

Matty Longstaff (now playing for Toronto FC)
AyeDubbleYoo replied to toontownman's topic in Football
Class, hope he does well out there. New page Toronto FC are signing Matty. -
Fullback is very hard but I guess anything can be learned. The ball can come inside and outside of you, over your head. You're now expected to attack as well, the stamina is extreme. Hard to say, all good points about GK. I think as an amateur striker is also very difficult because your team will probably not be able to play with decent possession and you'll spend your time feeding off scraps and chasing lost causes. At least when I was younger, maybe people are technically better now. I think CB is the easiest.

This discussion is genuinely mental It’s like people coming inside from a massive storm and arguing about why they’re wet.

Elliot Anderson (now playing for Nottingham Forest)
AyeDubbleYoo replied to joeyt's topic in Football
I think Anderson and Willock are our main hope now. Maybe get Willock to play right and Ando left. -
He’s English, he can only do so much.
