It’s not really about winning the CL though is it? It’s a massive game against Barca for the club and the fans. The spotlight on it, the prestige for everyone, it’s obviously a more important competition than the FA Cup, especially considering the relevant rounds were in for each. Opinions will differ I guess but I can’t see any way you can really say that Howe should not try his best to put together the best possible team against Barca.

The point was never about overlooking the fee, the point was that when he shows improvement or has a decent game it’s annoying to just say “yeah but he cost money so he’s still shite”. It’s idiotic to only judge him against the fee at all times. Of course he hasn’t been worth 55m so far, everyone knows that.

Yes, this has been a poor season. But Tonali, Bruno, Joelinton, Miley and Ramsey is still a very good set of players.

I think Anderson is a bit too similar to Bruno and Tonali really. Ideally would like to add a bit more craft and movement. Unless we sell Tonali I can’t see us spending massive money on a CM TBH. We have excellent options there, maybe with one addition who has a bit more attacking technique.

Not sure if that’s what’s happening or if people with family STs are just aging out of eligibility so they’re shuffling them around a bit. Might lead to some more available on general sale around them I guess. I quite like that balcony area so will definitely keep and eye out.

Do not get what people get out of constantly bringing up fees. Obviously we didn't pay the money for the performances we've had this season, that would be mental. We paid it for what he had done at Forest.
