They were quite well organised to cut off our common passing moves TBH, it's just we overwhelmed them with superhuman effort and movement.
-
He also needs players who he can trust to retain the ball if he fires it forward into them, which we don't really have much of at the moment.
-
His small size and low centre of gravity is a big advantage, along with body strength. He's almost like a tiny Joelinton the way he can roll people and get himself between them and the ball. But better when running with it too.
-
He’s definitely looking more assured and his touch is much better than it was. Confidence must be coming back.

Definitely more proud than annoyed this morning, massive shame we didn’t hold on but you can’t ask for anything more than what we gave. -

Olmo was immediately so much more dangerous than Pedri, despite how good Pedri is. -

We could never have gone there to defend all game. -
Surely it's more because Gordon and Osula can both run more than Wissa and Woltemade? It's not like it's a straight judgement of quality, it's what Howe has judged the team needs right now.

I wouldn't sell him except with a buy-back option. -

I feel like they almost thought they can just dawdle their way through this game and just win the next one. Lamal didn't seem bothered at all. -
Always love hearing him speak after a game. The balanced way he can assess a match after conceding a crushing late goal is amazing when you think about it. No matter what happens he can see the bigger picture, not be overly influenced by the result, take every question and give a really balanced answer. No wonder the players will run through walls for him.

But he doesn't fall over, that's the genius of it. -
The kid is ridiculous at his point, his technical ability is unbelievable. The one player that must not be sold at any price.

For all the neat play that Pedri can do, Olmo was much more dangerous when he came on. -

Showed some neat feat at times as well, not just pure running. -
It was great all the way round, even in the opposite corner it was very good. I know we never could, but if we could replicate that we'd smash every home game.

Should've booked about 3 of their players in the first few minutes TBH. -
Thought he had a good game overall. There are times where he beats his man but then gets surrounded by another 3 defenders because nobody is near him. That can be frustrating but it's not just on him. IMO he's been improving for a few games now.
-
Class act, took the game in hand right from the start.

Fantastic to be present tonight, except for the last few seconds. Great atmosphere from the off, players gave everything, ref helped them as much as possible but we still got the lead. Very special club to support when it's like that. Great words from Eddie post-match as well, love the bloke. -
I don’t really believe in being injury prone TBH, unless it’s the same recurring issue. Most of the time it’s just bad luck.

I just learned a new word.

That's not the question at all, that's just comparing past signings.

We need to take lessons from the southern spreadsheet clubs but we also need to aim much higher than them. It’s an easy point to say we should just focus on second tier players, but we have bigger ambitions than that. With the quality we have now we should be able to add a mix of squad and starter players hopefully, to make us more consistent. That combined with a much easier fixture list should make for a good season.
