He wasn't the worst on the pitch tonight but I was fed up of him receiving the ball holding it thinking and thinking and thinking then just playing it backwards. When he did pass forward it was so slow the decision the advanced player had someone right up their arse and they lost the ball.

Also not sure I haven't been paying attention but why do we try and head the ball do much in the middle of the park? Can no one control the ball good enough to bring it down to their feet. It always seems to land back to the opposition or go no where.

Off to the glue factory for you please not sure who needs a plodder in their side to pay any money for him unfortunately

Being dropped or at the very least has a risk of losing his place thanks to having bodies back will hopefully push him to his better version of himself. Being a garenteed stater with no one pushing and playing all the minutes certainly hasn't helped him this season.

I know it's only one mistake and he did well to cover for Botman but this is the reason for me if he goes in the summer I won't be missing him.

Some competition for his place would be nice to see after the summer what happened to Alex Murphy from preseason seems to has disappeared

Schar shocking best thing he did all game was the pen. Lads coming back Barnes particularly I am hoping it's match sharpness or keen to try and help the side a bit too much. For all the money in the squad there were times in that game it was hard to tell who was the prem side. Some big games coming up for the side last season when we were drawing alot of games we were told keep playing like that and the results will come right now we need to shed this current style and form as keep going and dropping out top 10 possible never mind European places. Trying to be excited to progress but been hard to see what feels like regression not just a poor run of form.

This period feels like the players feel sorry for ourselves. Or the players who were always poor made their dreams come true playing in champions league and now given up. I know winning breeds confidence and makes wining more of a habbit but lads seem shell shocked at the very least.

Think we now relying on this is them playing out of skin and tiring. They are totally up for this as they should. We won't chase lose balls and either under or over hitting everything. Going long is great to mix it up but seems to be our only go to try at the min.

We aren't as intensive as we once were last season some of the shithousing wasn't to see out tight games it was to allow micro breaks to talk to the gaffer,take on water and have a micro break less need when we don't seem to push ourselves as much. Slightly off topic for the subject but still think the team has learned as a bad habit not to empty the tank as for months we ain't had much in the way of subs. I truly believe some players were going to 75/80% as they knew they would have to see out 100min game.

It was the deer in headlights instances for me he was given the ball and placed his foot on it not knowing what to do or where to go. It had to be a confidence thing as Arsenal particularly in the first half they were coming at us in waves but being so slow to try and break out of our own third was suicide.

FFP having bite and putting ceilings on teams may have been a factor here much like most clubs there is a limit to what can be done. As much as I hate it the commercial reach of man u does mean he has more scope to play with. Also while he is a project building sort of role he seems to be happy to jump ship. Already had the manger say "no war chest" no idea what the fugure will be but expecting more player sales the fact that we so far haven't extended players with contracts ending in the summer then depending on which competition we in Europe wise if any we in for a mini rebuild. My guess based on nothing would be 70/80m plus player sales.

Top sides learn how to win ugly or edge out tight games. Far too many times we havent seen games out or been too rash to go forward. While I was frustrated with the passing back all the time. I guess we were just so spoilt at times especially last season it wasn't a classic but banking 3 points and still being in the Europe position mix is all that really matters I guess.

While others adapted to that tweaked system he seemed to struggle not being played in by trippier constantly. The passing was also poor as was his tracking back/defensive wor. We are gonna need him for the rest of the season so fingers crossed it was just a bad day at the office for him.
