really ? I have 0% faith in the board or management of the club and not just because of Joey Barton. If the manager had decided that Barton wasn't needed and had bought in his replacement and then transfer listed Barton we wouldn't be talking about Newcastle United football club. the management and signing of tiote and ben arfa gives me that smidge of faith but I agree what your saying we do tend to always do things arse over tit but Barton has been forcing the clubs hands for months now no one has rushed out to take him cutting losses seems to have been the course of action the club has taken (the involvement of the manager is all this is probably just as debateable). this has been sai time and time again that no one player is newcastle united newcastle united the club will be around long after (we hope) get rid and move on. Charlton are a league 1 club, they banned all their players from social networking sites I believe. Is it really that hard for us to do the same ? If they don't listen you fine them, if they still don't listen you then follow the next step in your clubs disciplinary rules. It's not so hard, makes you look like a professionally run organisation and helps keep you out of the press for the wrong reasons. maybe Ashley still believes the business/celebrity mantra that no publicity is bad publicity lol no seriously your thought process involves logic and clear thought we already know that the club isnt ran this way its reactionary gut instinct stuff that usually ends up in mistakes being made. I keep going back to the thought that the club has had its hands tied over this the club letting him get away with it = you loose as the club look weak and the player looks like he runs the roost. The club fine him errm i dont think he cares and i dont think it would stop him. The club could transfer list him... welll as has already been mentioned no one seems to be rushing to get him and we already know he has a high opinion of himself and wouldnt just go to anyone. If he doesnt move on then he is allowed to carry on with the club as the rotten apple for another year. I think what I am trying to say is that there is no good way of doing things and in the mean time the fans suffer but Joey still gets his pay so I have no sympathy for him what so ever.

best would be some stand out perfromances of the new lads finishing between 8-10th worst- the new lads dont settle we have ameobi as our main striker all season on his own as everyone else is injured and we spend all season in the bottom 3 or there abouts only just managing the scrape the last place to stay safe.

I think IF the club signed someone as a comparable/better player to replace JB I dont think there would be half as much of an up roar, as most of us now has 5% faith in the management of the club we all worry it will be the kids being asked (used as a reason to say we dont need a replacement) and leaving the squad down a player.

putting an end to it is the only right thing they have done, how they have done it and the timing of it has all been probably wrong but at the end of the day he was becomming a rotten apple that could only end up spreading a negative influence rather than rallying the troops.

agreed as the situation carries on its damned if you do damned if you dont the best answer is for him to leave as soon as possible there is no right and wrong way of dealing with this now.
-
keep him fit in order to ship him? keep him in eye sight to show its what happens when you act the way he has?
-
I wouldn't want a loud mouth who now has nothing left to loose training with the full squad
-
I thought you were going to say it was 8m and it was to Sunderland however you raise valid points but for a central defender he is still quite young at 25 has had a good record at england under 21 level and he is english someone would easily pay 5-6m for him for those reasons alone.

Anton Ferdinand went for 6/7m didnt he?

10th april 1997 Vs spurs won 1-0 thanks to the bald wonder Ketsbaia

If he does well then hopefully there can a deal be done if he is shite he goes back, hopefully it will show clubs that loaning us players is a viable option not that I want to be reliant on loans to bolster the squad but with our sort of transfer budgets these days every little helps.

HAHAHAHAAHAHAHA!!!! What the f*** is that??? Where's it from? lolpics.se. I need to know what the back-story is behind this. NEED to know. What TV show is it from?!?! The lad was in a shock doc from sky (I cant stop eating) I think they have a disorder I think its Prader-Willi Syndrome in which they have a predisposition to over eat and follows a few of them who are living in a home/centre on a strict diet. They do have other knock on side effects to their condition they are severely emotionally immature. Makes it not so funny maybe when you know the story as for the woman I dont remember her being on the show.

definetly sums it up quite nicely for the me the situation seems all too familiar in terms of our relegation season except it could be said some are down to gutless performances rather than being past it.

over the years the really big successful teams have dropped off I always thought it would be fergerson retiring that would put them up shits creak but being financially crippled may topple them over sooner still
-
It did seem abrupt him leaving add the lack of a quality manager couldnt have helped.
-
I would say its more like we are finding our feet, getting rid of the players who dont want to be here, getting in new players on easier to handle contracts, adding players without spunking 12/15milion on them at a time. Sticking with a manager for longer than 3 months. As people have said it could all end literally in 3-5 games back to back losses and the side looses heart the fans loose their rags and the fat man at the top may feel its time for a change and the cycle starts again. I hope and pray we build on what seems to be the good vibes but always have a nagging doubt.

BBC are reporting this morning that talks between both parties broke down last night meaning its do or die time today

You'd still want him? Could we sign a better RB for less than that? He's obviously not getting his game and we're looking quite good for promotion, so why not? We haven't got a RB on our books and adding Simpson and Beye for a million would be good business if we can swing it with Man U and Villa. they may not have paid us all the milner money so could in theory cost us nothing. Did you used to dabble in the subprime markets? nope living mortgage free thanks I guess i didnt explain myself well I meant there wouldnt be any outlay free Ashleys pocket if there is still a balance to pay of Milner
