If we’re honest, Isak has a decent turn of pace but he’s not very fast. Not quicker than Gordon and Murphy. Doubt he’s quicker than Tino. That’s something to bear in mind when watching Woltemade who is also, not blisteringly quick. Very good feet and hold up play though. Better in tight spaces than Isak, but that’s playing in the Bundesliga.

Bayern confirmed they are not signing Woltemade this year. He's as close to Isak that I have seen so far in terms of style. At 75M Euro I would think he offers a very good alternative. I don't understand the silence around him/us.

He was ok, better on the ball than JL as you’d expect. Not as good at winning the ball back as Sandro, as you’d expect. We’d have played better as a team with a CF which we didn’t have. None of our lot had a ‘shit’ game.

In terms of numbers, not playing style. Maybe by then Ramsey has become very influential or A. N. Other that we signed has filled that creative void.

Keeping him around and not playing him would be dumber. Last thing he needs is a repeat of last year. At some point he’s got to show it in a string (like 20-30 consecutive games) of competitive matches. He won’t get that here. If we can bring in another midfielder, BEK or the Dutch fella, send Miley out to playing side like Ipswich. I reckon next summer Bruno could go and then we hopefully have a plug-in replacement in Miley. If we can’t get another MF in then I agree, Miley should stay.

Think Woltemade really does look like an Isak replacement. We had to take a chance on Isak when he was at Sociedad, don’t see why we can’t take a chance on Woltemade. The proposed Bayern transfer looks like it’s hit a dead end. I’m sure we can meet the asking price and offer him a very very decent wage packet. Then, ideally send Isak to Bayern on a loan with obligation to buy deal if they’d accept it. Gives them an extra year to get the money together.

Personally think BEK is the closest thing I’ve seen so far to Bruno on the ball. Guess it’s without the ball that the doubts start for EH.

Because if we’d signed Baleba he’d barely have played so would be worth about £23.5M. Same for a young CF. We’re not a club that gives game time for players to develop ‘on the job’. They have to prove it in training for approx 6-9 months before getting a sniff.
