Ha ha ha, check them out, they've got a twitter account and everyfink! You lot signing Hernandez? No idea. I'd like us to sign a belligerent midfielder more than anything, though.

Insurance policy post in case he's joining you?

Flabby Onegoalayear rumoured to have had contract with us cancelled, moving to Coventry City.

Lots of positives for us today. First half was poor but the second much better. Annoying to piss it away so close to the end, especially when we had been on top for ages, but we played some decent stuff in the second half, and generally speaking our worst players today probably won't be turning out that much this season (Cissokho, for example). Westwood is gash, though. I fucking hope we replace him. In fact, we played pretty much with no midfield for most of the game today. Wednesday are meant to be one of the best teams in the league, not all fixtures will be as tricky as that one.

A combined 10m for him and Clark is a surprising but pleasing nest egg.
-
Hmm, looked poor across six seasons with five or six managers? It's not like he suddenly went "rogue" last season.

Clark is nothing like Lescott, Richards, Bacuna, Agbonlahor in terms of being toxic CUNTS I'd gladly set fire to. That's the good news. His attitude is absolutely fine. The bad news is he's genuinely not very good. Zero positional sense, constantly gets caught looking like he doesn't know where he's meant to be, it's like he doesn't really understand the fineries of defending. And that's based on six or so years of watching him. On the bright side, though, he can score goals if he gets in the box. Don't get me wrong, he's no Martin Laursen, but if he gets in the box for corners, he's useful. I vaguely remember him being played in midfield a few years back for a few games, and I thought he looked much better there. When Lambert came, someone asked him during a fans' forum if he'd play him there, and he ridiculed the idea, which struck me as odd at the time. Honestly, I wish the bloke all the best, I am just a bit bewildered by this deal - I wouldn't have been distraught had we kept him, but then I'd take 5m for him every day of the week. I just find it really odd. Odd that he actually had a release clause in the first place, and odd that someone would actively come in for him.

I think that's almost entirely because it was Albion. There might be a good player in there. Good luck, because I haven't seen any evidence of it for at least five years now.
-
Well this is fantastic who's your centre back pairing now then? Okore and Elphick maybe? I don't mind Clark as s personality- he isn't one of the toxic cunts I loathe most, he's just one of the dross players who have made far too many appearances for us He's got the positional sense of a flat satnav.

Rafa does what he wants. I'm sure he does but wow, what a bizarre signing. I genuinely don't know why you'd want him but hey ho.
-
What a bizarre move. Can you come and take Nathan Baker too, please?
-
Why on earth have you done this? I find it pretty amazing he even has a release clause.

He was alright, that's about it. I would much prefer to keep him for this league, though. I see Brad Guzan is going to Middlesbrough. Are they f***ing stupid? Did they watch none of last season? Or the one before? He's finished. He's Carsoned. How do you think Villa will do this season Brummie ? Genuinely no idea. If we can keep Amavi, Veretout, Ayew, probably Gueye (as per above), and shift some of the dross (Agbonlahor), plus buy a striker, we've got a chance. I honestly don't know. It's hard to say. Every relegated club worries about struggling but look at Hull last year - absolutely shite and still promoted. I am under no illusions, but I do think a lot of our fans (and probably yours) under estimate how even players we have come to detest are probably too good for that level and will thus help us get promoted. We'll see. At least it won't be a seventh year of circling the plug hole. It has been so bad, and so driven by awful leadership, that we're lucky to still have any fans left. It really has been awful.

The likes of Harry Redknapp, Danny Mills, almost all of the football media make me really ashamed to share an interest with them, they're such thick cunts.
-
Does it really matter who the England manager is? It really doesn't. It'll still be year after year of all fart and zero shit. Allardyce is a cunt, mind. The best thing about this appointment is not having to see his fat fucking ignorant gum-chewing face on MOTD week in, week out. not that I'll need to watch MOTD next season.
-
How are you lot feeling about this season? No matter how it pans out, SURELY SURELY both our clubs must have a good chance of consistently winning football matches. Fucking hell, imagine that. It's like what Victorians must have felt like the first time they saw a train. When the credits roll on the Channel 5 coverage on a Saturday night, I'll be sat here watching, staring at the screen, tears rolling down my cheeks as Mrs Brummie frantically shouts "what's wrong, what's wrong?" - "We've just beaten Burton Albion and Brentford inside seven days, can't you even try to understand my dreams???" It'll be unreal. I know we've both been shit for years now, but really, surely, surely we can dream of maybe, say, three wins in a row? Or (in our case) more than four home wins a season?
-
Not the one I know, he's gutted. You have to remember, for Hull fans, these are impressive times - promotion to the PL, relegation, FA Cup final. It's Hull City. Ten years ago they were playing on a dog shit strewn council park in front of 15 people (well, you know what I mean) and nothing exciting ever happened to them. It'd be fucking great to see Tactics Tim back in business, though, the fucking TWAT.

https://www.theguardian.com/football/2016/jul/09/stiliyan-petrov-first-aston-villa-appearance-since-beating-leukaemia He's got a massive fight on his hands to get back in the team after what he's been through, but this is the first time anything villa related has made me happy for about a year. What an attitude compared to the feckless scumbags who let us down last season

As an outsider, I always liked that badge. It reminds me of my favourite Villa badge, both are from about the same time and I remember this sort of style looked super modern at the time. Basically, round badges are fucking ace. http://d22k6u99ay5z2k.cloudfront.net/monthly_2015_10/8194365381989cd70eb0c1dc604e1781.jpg.9ce5bd28cedb65540f3d2b0b749516f3.jpg

Parent company, innit. They'll just be sharing the same content. Noticed the same thing with the Birmingham Mail (same parent co) recently - local fucking cretins getting made up shit published nationally.
-
They're going to look fucking amazing with the secondary sponsor allowed on the back in the championship, which will probably be a chip shop or something.
-
Allegedly ours. I hope so. They look nice. In fact, I'd say that away shirt is the best one we've had in years.
-
How can he possibly expect that to go well?
