Never gonna happen. A Champions league winner in the championship, you must be joking. I was just thinking that, there will be two managers in the Championship who have won the Champions League. Given some of the utterly horrific names we've been linked with, I think Di Matteo is by far the best one I've heard so far.

Ha ha ha, excellent.

Perky tits on the left.

Doing away with the midweek games? I appreciate I am probably the only one, but the only positive from our relegation for me is the fact that there are loads of midweek games in that league. I love midweek games.

Never realised the Chinese were such big drinkers If he isn't now, he will be after a season watching us play. He has said today he was at the home match against you lot. God only knows what he made of "the best league in the world" that day. Let alone the loud protests against the current owner.
-
Unfortunately, the new owner didn't exist on the internet before this morning. I forecast doom.

lerner just wants rid Aye but he only paid that for the club as well. Ashley paid more than double for us, fairly similar sized clubs. re my edit- Pat Murphy on 5 live was suggesting that the 70+years remaining on contracts of players who took the piss as they were relegated were a huge burden /issue to be cleared up- lerner just wants out of it. It'll include debt being passed on. No debt. What sort of businessman does it take to buy a club for a certain amount, own it through ten years of unprecedented flow of tv money into the game and end up selling it for what he paid for it, having deposited it in the second division? What a fucking idiot. I'll be surprised if you don't have any debt tbh. We don't - the debt that we did have was as to Lerner and, to his credit, he wrote it off.

And if anyone was in any doubt regarding Lerner having totally lost the plot, here's his rambling sixth-former stream of consciousness farewell message from our web site. Bannockburn? WTF?

Some of our fans took this last opportunity to "pay tribute" to some of our players today. Richards, Lescott, Bacuna: http://i.imgur.com/53lZ7GW.jpg Flabby Onegoalayear: http://i.imgur.com/C4K0EDP.jpg

I think the conflict with the fact that you find so many of these players utterly reprehensible and want to watch them slowly drown in an icy canal, is that although they've been abymsal all season, a lot of them would still manage to be amongst the best players in the championship, and it is players fitting this description you need to hang on to. Similar thing going on for us. I'd like to drive a train over Bacuna, for example, but would he be decent at that level? actually, thinking about it, no, no he wouldn't

I wonder who Everton will go for. I understand Captain Bellend is somehow still available. http://www.london24.com/polopoly_fs/1.3532050.1396938342!/image/1597514775.jpg_gen/derivatives/landscape_630/1597514775.jpg

That is exactly the same thing I noticed when comparing us to other teams (esp Sunderland). They looked like they were prepared to sweat blood to stay up. Our players didn't look fucked enough to sweat actual sweat. Yours looked similar.
-
You so obviously need exactly the same thing we do - to be razed to the fucking ground and started again. Hopefully both clubs will get a purging of these time serving cunts who don't fucking get it. It should be nigh on impossible to fail to keep clubs like Newcastle and Villa in the top flight, do the minimum and take the big television money. It should be almost impossible to do this in a season where we've just seen the likes of Bournemouth and Watford get promoted and survive. That's the damning thing about these people - their performance, their total lack of understanding, their total inability to do their fucking jobs, it is right there, for all to see, but they continue to survive.
-
Allardyce oversight.

Upton Park is, and always has been, a fucking shit hole. The only thing notable about it was that it was at times extremely dangerous.
-
I think you're right, in that we get so used to watching shite week in, week out, that we look towards the championship and think we are still going to continue being shite week in, week out, without stopping to think about the reduced quality of teams we'll be playing in it.
-
Our year in the championship was probably my favourite NUFC season in the last 13 years. It's great winning every week. I went to most matches in our 87-88 second division year and, although football these days is very different, I agree, the mix of winning and going to new places was ace.
-
My best mate supports a recently relegated team. He has been telling me all year that the good thing aobut going down is the increased likelihood that you occasionally actually win a match. For that alone, I am thinking it will be a blessed relief after the last five years.
-
It's a protest against out cunty owners. 74 beachballs (1874, year of foundation) - it's nothing to do with this match.
-
Being shit week after week, giving Southampton what looked like a deliberate goal creating pass the other week, and recently giving an interview where he talked at length about wanting to move to a champions league club next year whilst never showing enough quality to be good enough to play for us Him, Lescott, Richards - the worst of a bunch of despicable cunts
-
I would have thought Rafa would have you do that, though.
-
The crowd have been up for it the last month or so now - basically they have a unity in that they all fucking hate this set of players - it's not just this game that they've come alive. I think the general line of thought is to find at least some fun in it before the season ends. I didn't watch today but the people on here saying you shoukd have been out of the stocks straight away and at us from the start were absolutely spot on. Faced with that we always crumble - always. That's 11 consecutive defeats ended, and I genuinely would not have bet on us getting a single point more this season. I appreciate you don't want to hear this but really, if you can't waltz past us with the minimum effort then either the minimum effort isn't there, or you're heading towards a bad place. You should have been at our throats right from the off.
-
I watched Sunderland's game today. They're truly awful but they sweated blood. I don't think I've seen a single performance from you or us this season where the players have looked like they were sweating sweat let alone blood. It trickles down from the top - the attitude, ambition and spirit - that's why they are probably staying up, we are not, and you probably won't. Two dysfunctional basket case shambles

It wasn't bitterness, it was schadenfreude. It's all part of football. The time to worry is when you go down and nobody bats a f***ing eyelid. People go on about 'the banners' but they're talking about two banners which could have been brought by one person for all we know. It's not like we were all riding around the city centre, sat on top of our cars, bibbing our horns and waving flags at 3am in the morning because you'd got relegated. Anyway, we know what it's like now - we've been slowly tortured to death in front of the entire world for one entire season now. We have had loads of p*ss take and media coverage about it and to be honest, it just makes me feel better - that us getting relegated is still 'a story'. Unlike pointless yoyo clubs like Albion or Norwich, up and down so often people forget where they are from one year to the next. This fixture is a great opportunity for you lot to take the p*ss back, and we're going to have to suck it up. The only problem is: 1. Your current league position which may render p*ss taking inadvisable before the end of the match. 2. The fact that that banner posted here is proper s****. Just like your team then. What goes around comes around and all that. Yep - which is pretty much exactly what I just said in the post you're referring to, you might have observed. Nah got bored after the 2nd paragraph so stopped reading. Did "schadenfreude" make you do a brain melt? Just find your posts generally speaking to be fairly boring and repetitive tbh, nothing personal of course, so the longer ones I tend not to bother reading all the way through. Will this season's heartache ever end?
