No results have gone our way for weeks. I fully expect Sunderland to win. Even if they drew they'd go ahead of us on goal difference.
  2. If we get relegated who could we get as a new manager? Are there any up and coming managers who play good, attacking football who we could get? I guess managing NUFC would be an attractive job to Championship managers.
  3. I only watched the 2nd half and he looked to me as if he wasn't trying too hard while trying to make it look as if he was. Do you honestly think he was misdirecting his headers on purpose?
  4. If Carroll wasn't giving the game his all why did he look so annoyed when his headers missed? Why did he keep appealing for penalties?
  5. PSG staff mentioned wanting him a couple of weeks ago.
  6. Seeing as you posted that after the Reading game, do you in hindsight regret not waiting another week? Or did you not end up quitting your ticket after all? I didn't quit. I had the email drafted and ready to send but the new signings and the win over Aston Villa stopped me from sending the email. We better not get relegated! So is there a get out clause on season tickets if we get relegated? Thought not. Just to be clear - what would be your reason for wanting to get out of your season ticket? A few reasons. I bought it expecting I'd be watching Premier League football next season. Fair enough there were no guarantees but Christ, what a disaster if we get relegated again. Numerous Championship games are played in midweek which is not convenient for me. I assume Sky would pick to show us often like last time so I dare say a lot of our games wouldn't be 3pm Saturday kick off. You won't be surprised to hear that I haven't really enjoyed this season. Watching a poor game and then thinking that I paid over £30 to watch it isn't good. As I've already started paying for next season I'll still be going, I just hope it's in the Premiership.

  8. This game is our last stand (we won't be able to beat Arsenal if we need to, we're not Wigan). It's our last real chance of ensuring we stay in the Premier League. Due to our goal difference compared to our rivals not only do we have to win, we have to win by scoring more than one goal. We need to outscore Norwich and Wigan over the last games. It will be unbelievable if we don't go all out attack against QPR. What's the use of winning if we then get relegated on goal difference?
  9. Why did he have to go and do that ridiculous bicycle kick clearance against Southampton? I doubt we'd have been in the trouble we're if he hadn't damaged his back and missed the last few months.
  10. Seriously, nothing goes our way.
  11. We'd have to permanently employ someone to be in charge of reviewing lies in the press man. They don't have to release a statement every time but I see no problem in taking legal action to force retractions and apologies every time the media make up stories.
  12. Morons believe everything they read in the 'news' papers. Whenever Martin Tyler commentates on Newcastle he spouts crap he has read in the newspapers as fact during his commentary. I have no problem with NUFC suing the press for lying.
  13. Am I correct in thinking all the Europa League semi finalists were teams who dropped out of the Champions League? It's a bit shit if that's the case.
  14. There looked to be about 5 dives in a row by Benfica there.
  15. I agree with your view to a certain extent but I also agree with the point that it is time to try to be positive. There will be plenty of time to be negative if we get relegated. One of my criticisms of Pardew is his recent negative words e.g. "I think we've got enough quality to avoid relegation". Roberto Martinez comes out with stuff like "I know we will not get relegated". In our situation positive thinking is a lot more helpful than negative thinking. I can't see Pardew keeping his job even if we stay up (unless we put in 3 great, winning performances in over the last 3 games and he comes up with amazing reasons for Ashley not to sack him) so there is little to be gained at the moment debating his future.

  17. Gabriel Clarke was desperate for the toilet and he couldn't wait any longer.
  18. We need to win but Pardew will probably be more worried about setting us up to not concede. We absolutely must attack them from the off. Throw the kitchen sink at them. If we fail at least we will have tried.
  19. We're the only team to be beaten by Swansea since they won the League cup. Of the other 6 games they've played they lost 4 and drew the other 2. I'm sure Wigan will beat them.
  20. 'Supporting' Sunderland hasn't worked. Start supporting Villa. Maybe Mike Ashley can send some money to one of Harry Redknapp's secret accounts to make sure QPR throw their game against us?
  21. We desperately need Aston Villa to stay in deep shit. We need their last game against Wigan to mean something to both clubs. Imagine the horror if they could both play out a draw and we needed a point or 3 off Arsenal to stay up.
  22. For a lot of the home games this season you would have though that we were the away team. Slow out of the blocks and defensively minded (without actually being good defensively). I think most people were demoralised as soon as yesterday's line up was announced. Perch and Tiote? Why? Pardew made a comment after the Sunderland game about us needing to grind out the results to the end of the season. That is probably why he keeps playing defensive players over attacking players. It's not going to work. I'd rather go down attacking than trying to grind out 0 - 0 draws. Stop playing Cisse up front on his own. We need goals to win games so let's go for it by playing two strikers for a start. Ben Arfa has to start. If he has to come off after 70 minutes then so be it. He won't be staying with us next season if we get relegated so we might as well gamble on his fitness now.
  23. The players we were hoping to move on (e.g. Gosling, Obertan, Williamson) or loan out (e.g. Ferguson, Sammy Ameobi, Tavernier) will become our first team squad if we are relegated. Our only hopes are that QPR's players don't give a shit in their game against us and the failings of Aston Villa and Wigan.
  24. Our captain clapping the fans in the Gallowgate after a 0 - 6 drubbing with a Liverpool shirt on his head.
  25. Well the last two home games have shown our players can't cope when they are backed by the majority of the people in a stadium so it's probably good news that our next two games are away from home (obviously setting aside our s*** away record).
