  1. What's so frustrating is that that's now two games in a row where we've scored from Ferguson crosses but he'll no doubt be dropped again. Anita at right back makes us a more dangerous side. Teams know they just have to mark Ben Arfa to stop us. With Santon and Anita bombing up the wings together with Ferguson and Ben Arfa we'd be a lot more dangerous going forward. Cisse and Ba aren't getting much service. Cisse and Ba cannot hold the ball up when it is launched up to them. Ameobi is the only striker we have who can. A lucky draw. Why are we always the team who play poorly against the teams who are on a poor run?
  2. His performance on Sunday reminded me of this scene from "Dodgeball" Dodgeball-Gordon Gets Angry Pardew watching Tioté "Go you crazy son of a bitch go!"

  4. Cabaye couldn't hit a barn door today. His shooting was very wayward.
  5. I said this at the match. You'd think Williamson was deadly from set pieces or something. He's never scored for Newcastle and yet our free kicks always seem to be aimed at him.
  6. One of his legs was up and being worked on, I still think it was cramp and I'm not surprised because he was popping up everywhere. He got up and walked off the pitch shaking hands with Norwich players so I'd assume he was OK.
  7. Probably already been said (I know Pardew has more or less said it) but our team need to stop being so sentimental. Only players in form should be taking penalties. Cissé will score when he scores. We had the same problem last season when the team kept trying to get Ba a goal when others were better placed.
  8. Are we discovering that Cissé scores goals in a 4-4-3 and Ba scores goals in a 4-4-2? I'd start Cissé on Wednesday alongside Shola.
  9. That's true but until we are he'll be playing a 'real' game just about every week.
  10. http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/aston-villa-boss-paul-lambert-1338881 I wouldn't say Gosling is out of favour. He'll probably play in the majority of our Europa League, Capital One and FA Cup games.
  11. As for some huge love in for Chris Hughton, he'll get one cheer from me and that's it. Thanks for your efforts while at NUFC Chris but I hope you go home feeling gutted tomorrow. It would be very wrong for the crowd to sing his name during the game. As for the actual game, games the SJP crowd expect Newcastle to win usually have the worst atmosphere. When we play the likes of Man U, Chelsea, etc. the whole place is jumping. Hopefully the players will give us something to cheer early in the game so some momentum can be built up.

  13. It's more of a thick thing than a Geordie thing. For example "We woz robbed!"
  14. Pardew said in an interview on BBC Radio Newcastle before the game that Krul's injury means he could be out for 3 weeks.
  15. I'll believe it when he returns. Our injured players have a nasty habit of returning later than expected rather than earlier.
  16. Far from being frustrated I'd imagine the players on the fringes (e.g. Sammy, Ferguson, Bigirimana, Perch, Gosling, Amalfitano, Vučkić, Tavernier, etc.) are very happy that they will be getting a chance to show what they can do.
  17. So you have Pardew selecting Elliot to start even though Elliot hasn't been on the bench once this season and is currently behind Harper in the pecking order?

    Xisco

£50K a week is what Xisco was reported to 'earn' a week. Whether that figure is true or not, even if he was on a tenth of that, he's been terrible value for money.
  23. That Jonas foul on N'Zogbia came just after a foul on one of our players (possibly Jonas) that the shite ref didn't class as a foul. I've noticed that refs seem happy for opposition players to foul Cisse and Ba in and around the box.
