The Final Day - Man Utd win the title, Fulham stay up!
LoveItIfWeBeatU replied to SUPERTOON's topic in Football
It's amazing that newspapers can constantly print bullshit transfer stories and yet not only do some people still buy them but they actually believe what they read in them too! -
I noticed he wasn't in the training pictures on nufc.co.uk and Keegan mentioned that some of the squad were carrying one or two knocks.
-
The disadvantage of getting players like Viduka and Geremi on free transfers is free transfers tend to get bigger wages than they would have if they'd cost a fee.
-
"Jan Vennegoor of Hesselink" becomes the even longer "Vennegoor of hesseleca da Santos"
-
At least we now know why Mike Ashley used to have "17 Smith" on his shirt. In that story about Ashley winning £1 Million on the roulette wheel it mentioned that Mike considers his lucky number to be 17. Not in the case of buying Alan Smith it wasn't Mike!

Is N'Zogbia's exit inevitable? (Maybe not - Page 24!)

That's the big joke. If he wants to leave let him buy out the new contract he signed this very season. That would probably cost him more than £5 Million. -

Probably because he can get to France in 2 hours. You can get from Newcastle to France in not much more than that, man. the difference between flying to paris from london and newcastle is half an hour. Is there as many flights to Paris as there is at Heathrow? I mean, its not like he can go back to france everyday after training whereas London may be more accesible for his family. Is that his family who strangely live in London (said to be courtesy of his agent Willie McKay)? The shit thing about N'Zogbia wanting to go to London is that it limits the clubs we can sell him to. There hasn't even been any recent rumoured interest that any of West Ham (who are supposedly on a tighter budget now) Chelsea, Arsenal and Tottenham are interested in N'Zogbia. " End of big spending at West Ham" http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/w/west_ham_utd/7389885.stm -
Another problem with paying over the odds with wages is if a player doesn't work out at the club, it's a bugger getting them off the books as you need to find another club willing to pay their wages. I'm hoping the fact that Alan Smith hasn't been playing regularly makes him want to leave to get games (that's supposedly why he was willing to leave Man U). Hopefully he does and that may make him more willing to take a pay cut.

For which side though? No, still not fit.
-
So the story the media are pushing about this meeting is that Mike Ashley is going to sack Keegan for daring to suggest that Newcastle won't break into the top 4 in the next two seasons?
-
I'd play Forster up front before I played Smith there. I honestly think the team would be strengthened if we played with only 10 players rather than an 11 that included Smith.
-
I'd like Chelsea to win the title simply because they didn't sell NUFC Alan Smith for £6 million (mind, the bastards got £5 million off us for Duff).
-
This is Barton's last game for us this season as he is banned from going to Merseyside due to his court case. Who will replace him for the Everton game I wonder?
-
I would have thought Stoke would be too worried about all those Zombies attacking their players to even think about Ameobi. Even if Stoke don't want him, Roeder at Norwich will (although, not for £4 Million unfortunately).
-
Although N'Zogbia looks like he will be leaving I'd love to know where to. There haven't even been any rumours (recent rumours, not the ancient history Wenger wanted him rumours) in the media about where he may end up. Does any other club really want him I.e. would they be willing to pay what we want?
-
Do you think? Whenever Man U, Chelsea, Arsenal or Liverpool are at St. James' the crowd are usually up for it. Probably because we feel they are where we should be. I'm sure we'd have been equally happy ruining Man U's title chances if that had been the fixture.
-
Selling? He's out of contract. Isn't this thread usually for confirmed transfers? Steven Pienaar to stay at Everton.
-
I don't know where Guy Richie got the idea from for this video: - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GrUkVztBJ_I

When can we expect Man U fans to register on the forum and wish us luck against Chelsea? This usually seems to happen with opposition fans when we can stop their rivals winning something.
-
"1332: Dean Ashton is desperate to come off as he is struggling with a groin injury, but he tries a 25-yard free-kick that flies straight into the wall." That is why we shouldn't try to buy Dean Ashton (Although Man U are supposed to be interested in him now). He is always injured.

This advert is heavily influenced by The Prodigy's 'Smack My Bitch Up' video from 1997, even down to the vomit! If you haven't seen the 'Smack My Bitch Up' video search YouTube.

'Michael' from "I'm Alan Partridge".

Didn't the Welsh want their national anthem played before the game? The English national anthem won't be played so why would the Welsh anthem be played. The British National anthem will be played.

I thought this was going to be Man U's Ronaldo when I saw the headline "Ronaldo in transvestite scandal" on the BBC website.
