He could buy out his contract and then he'd be able to leave as a free transfer so he'd be able to sign for any club that wanted him. Out of contract players can be signed outside of the transfer window. He's only got 10 months left on his contract so it wouldn't cost him much (relatively speaking).

They'd be lucky to earn 1.5% interest. http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/savings/best-regular-savings-accounts#firstdirect 6% for 12 months on a maximum £300 a month deposit. That and it's not a company account.

Newcastle United transfer rumours in the press
LoveItIfWeBeatU replied to Kaizero's topic in Football
Most of the players we have bought have been for around a £5m fee and they'll be on Championship wages. Clubs only end up stuck with players when they've paid a high fee (so the club want to recoup as much of their original fee paid as possible) and they are on wages higher than potential buyers can afford. I don't see that being an issue. -
Sorry but that's just horeshit, prefer him to Perez? And as for Murphy, well they are two entirely different players. Murphy is here to be back up for Mitrovic and another big lad - nothing like Armstrong. This moves makes sense, his game time will be limited as he will rightfully be behind Gayle and Perez. He did well last season in League 1 and this will be a good test to see if he can bang them in at the next level. Ayoze said he was ready to lead the line while he looked anything but, in fact he was horeshit, hence prefer Armstrong to Perez. What do you get if you cross Horse shit with Whore shit? Horeshit.

Hardly. There's this thing called the January transfer window. If he's got any sense he'll get his head down and impress the Hell out of any potential suitors with his wonderful performances for us between now and the window opening. He's still got 2 days left to leave anyway.

Mauritius? The likes of Gibraltar and the Faroe Islands probably class Mauritius as a "minnow" when it comes to world football.
-
Apparently he can play as a winger or a striker so he provides cover for a couple of positions.
-
NUFC aren't desperate for the money so just turn down all low ball offers. If Sissoko is stuck here after the transfer window closes he'll have a massive incentive to perform until the January transfer window opens. Maybe he'd then end up giving his all in every game. Just tell him there's scouts watching him every game.

Newcastle United transfer rumours in the press

Currently Tiote is on Premiership wages (for one more season). Will Olympiacos be able to match or better that salary? I'd have thought he'd have gone to China or the Middle East for big wages. -

Definitely. No emergency window anymore. Players who are out of favour will hang on to the last day or so to see which clubs come in for them. They'll then go to the best option. Clubs will lower their demands to get unwanted players out so they aren't stuck with them. -
Says who? I'm sure if they had NUFC would have accepted that.

Exactly. Not sure what exactly people were expecting like, for us to just sign a load of Premier League players like nothing happened? That none of our players would want to leave? That we wouldn't want to shift some of them on anyway; to raise funds, save wages or simply because the new manager doesn't rate them? We need to get promoted. That's all. If we go up, the next few years will undoubtedly see mass turnover of playing staff as requirements and targets change. Agree. Most of the players Newcastle are buying have cost around £5m and they will be on Championship wages not Premiership wages. If we get promoted, we'll be able to sell these sort of players back to Championship clubs. NUFC won't be stuck with them due to Championship clubs not being able to afford the transfer fee and wages (like we've been stuck with French players because French clubs can't afford their wages or transfer fee). -

But it's never really closed in the championship, unless they change the emergency loan rules. -

With "emergency loans" no longer allowed all clubs will be having a big clear out (either by selling or loaning) of their fringe players. I'd expect some decent players to be made available from Premiership clubs at the last minute. The last day of the window could be insane. -
£10m seems cheap going by the insane prices most Premiership clubs pay for players. He's also got 4 years left to run on his contract.
-
So do French clubs not earn any money or something? They all cry poor when it comes to paying a fee. We seem to just loan players back to them with the hope of getting a transfer fee in a year.
-
I still don't agree with you Tubestationatmidnight. You sound like you'd cave in straight away when negotiating a deal. The transfer window still has over two weeks to go.

The Premiership teams tend to loan out their fringe players in the last week of the transfer window. A lot will happen over the next 2 and a half weeks. Probably on the last day too. Players don't always want to move until late in the window once they've seen all the options. Once they realise they definitely won't be getting in the team they accept moves. -

I think we could do with two additional wingers. We've only got Richie and Aarons. They've got no cover or competition. Anita is not a winger! -

NUFC should loan as many decent players as possible from Chelsea, Man City, etc. Fill out the squad with some quality. -

I'd have thought just about every Championship clubs loans players. Certainly those who got promoted over the last few years have. Getting promoted is all that matters. By any means necessary. -
