Kieran Richardson - stupidest man in football???
oldtype replied to WarrenBartonCentrePartin's topic in Football
I think the most likely explanation is that he forgot about the transfer overnight and thought he was still playing for Man U. Lovely player, brilliant club. The Mackems and him are a match born in heaven I tell you! -
You're from Bahrain I take it? Run Oh well, credit to your team. We were absolutely woeful today. We were obviously missing Park's creativity on the attack (well, him and Seol... And YP Lee, and NI Kim, and about half a dozen others), but we shouldn't need him to cruise past the group stages in the Asian Cup for ****'s sake.
-
Heads will roll for this stupidity. Losing to Bahrain and crashing out of the group stages. Madness.
-
Should be fun with Viduka involved. Not holding out much hope for us (Korea) actually winning it though, what with us losing our 4 best players to injury. I hope Lee Chun-Soo can turn some heads and get himself back into Europe, at least. Canny player, personally thinking he'd be at least as good as Nakamura given the chance.
-
Can we just ban him already? WUM who tries to prolong his life on this board by occasionally pretending to be reasonable tbh.

HAHA. South Africa may have more ''wealth'' than Netherlands, Belgium or Sweden. But it is by no means as developed, and the standard of living and quality of living cannot compare to Western European nations. Please do not say s*** like this to a Global Economics Degree student. When did I say that quality of living was better there than in N/B/S? I was just making the point that the place is really not the shithole that you're making it out to be. Don't need to be a "Global Economics Degree student " to figure that out. Really sir, being a random undergrad who's just happened to take a couple ec courses does not give you any more authority than anyone else on this board.
-
lol, seriously, this is friggin South Africa not Uganda or something. In the larger metropolitan centers it's really closer to Europe. This is NOT some lawless war-torn shambles like some other African countries are. According to IMF, the place is wealthier than the Netherlands, Belgium, or Sweden. The less developed areas certainly have crime problems, but from what I can tell they don't really seem to be any worse than say, southern Italy. As long as the organizing committee does their job (admittedly not a sure thing), the tournament will be just fine.

Newcastle isn't exactly the best place for somebody with his confidence. (or lack of it) Then again, it's probably a good thing that he can't speak English. Very good player. Can be just as influential as Ronaldinho if he gets a team built around him.

The general mood on this board seems to be Dyer = Dogshit Lampard = Dogshit so I suppose Dyer=Lampard is plausible.
-
Good player, but 30, out for 4 months, and asking for 80k a week. Sam must secretly be in love with him or something. There is no other explanation.
-
Thing is, we almost got into the top six with a Souness/Roeder tag team in 2005/2006. It's really not that hard. Heck, even last season I think we were likely to make it if the fallout at Akmaar (nope, can't spell that) didn't happen. Just bringing out the abilities of our current squad 100% (with no injuries) should be enough for a top 6~7 finish. Granted, the league should end up being a bit tougher than it was two years ago, but still, I think Sam should be setting his goals at top 7 at least.

The clubs who want him can't afford him The clubs who can afford him don't want him Might as well keep.
-
My point being, we have (as far as I know) 1 Villa supporter, 1 City supporter, 1 Liverpool supporter, and maybe a few others that aern't as noticable. So why so many fans of Tottenham, of all places
-
just out of curiosity, why do we have so many spuds supporters flocking to this board? I recall it just being KD and MJ, and now it looks like we've got half a dozen.
-
looks like something a Ninja would throw. I can see that protruding out of some poor guy's neck.
-
so how many "Adriano?" "NO!" threads have we had over the past six months anyway?
-
Do you really think he is going to give a s*** about what the papers say about him, when his bank account could bloat even more so, with £300,000 being added to it? Hardly like this little saga compares to the s*** he's been through with the press and various supporters in earlier phases of his career. Well, Barton may not, but if I already had 10m+ secured in my bank account, I'd surely be willing to give up another 300k or so to get on the good side of my new supporters. Having a bust up with your supporters from day one could be the start of a disasterous experience at a new team. Like I said, if he had any brains whatsoever he'd be dropping this matter right now.
-
As usual, whatever Willie Mckay touches turns into steaming piles of dogshit. tbh, if Barton had any brains at all he'd recognize the PR nightmare that this is causing him and give up on the 300k.

It's not set in stone that you must be at a club 10 years to get a testimonial is it? I always assumed that 10 years was just the point at which the club was obligated to give you one. If it's at all possible, Nobby certainly deserves a testimonial. I would be able to fly in to be there too, since it'd be over the summer.

I wonder where the f*** them 2 will end up, I really do. No-one in the right mind will sign them. Maybe Bramble will recommend them to Hutchings "er yeah i really enjoyed playing with Babayaro" Good idea. Babas and Carr + £4m for Baines. I would laugh my head off if that happens would be comedy gold if Wigan ended up signing most of our old back line
-
You do that mate, and I'll piggyback Henry the way back.
-
so in the very same forum we have threads calling Viduka World Class... While in another thread people are saying Henry is crap that has "2 years left at best?" He's Thierry-fucking-Henry, people. If Liverpool get him for 20m, it'll be a bargain and the deal of the season.
-
f*** me, I own a Parker game-worn shirt. Oh well, I suppose I can still appreciate it. Regardless of his talents as a player, which I still think were a lot better than people gave him credit for, he's one of the more admirable personalities we've had in our squad. Hope he does well at West Ham so he'll get poached by a different club ASAP.
-
At this point, if Smith wanted first team football, wouldn't he have to go somewhere like... Scunthorpe United? Eh, maybe the Mackems would like a go. Surprised they haven't been linked yet actually.
-
Don't knock it if it's good fun, and oh boy is this good fun. Stevie and NSG making my fucking day. I'm personally not completely sold on Barton, but if we're getting rid of Parker, might as well.
