One of the things i noticed with Taylor is he always stands off the opponent and lets them get forward. He has been lucky a few time when going up for a header with Mpenza challenging him. However, he has got a few good blocks in and one or two interceptions which have stopped City breaking.

N'Zogbia is getting caught to high up the pitch and Elano (has great vision) is putting balls over the top for Ireland to run on to.

Was Smith bald? Only caught a quick glimpse of him.

His current one, or the one where we gave him a year's worth of rehab? The current one. Although i'm sure he rushed straight back into the England games and tried to put it off until after the next England games. -

Speaking of Owen, a leading consultant has criticized Newcastle handling of his injury. Its just coming on SSN now. -
Huntington came on in the 90th minute and Tomi Ameobi was an unused substitute in a 2-0 win.

Not a player, but saw Nigel Pearson in the Job Bulman in Gosforth last night.

Derby Away = Win West Ham Home = Draw Arsenal Away (Cp) = Lose Man City Away = Draw Everton (Home) = Draw

They did it on a few occasions. After the red card, then the first freekick after the red card and when Ameobi was meant to have pushed Granqvist and no freekick was given.
-
I thought Charlie Wood's spotted him, Robson invited him for a trial and Shearer said "Get this lad signed" after a training session.

Harper pulled off a few fantastic saves (the Koumas freekick), but it annoys me when he takes ages to distribute the ball. Cacapa is the best defender we have had in a long while. Him and Rozehnal already seemed to have an understanding and dealt with Heskey extremely well. At times there might be a little indecision, but generally he dominates the air and is equally adept with the ball on the deck. N'Zogbia again offers a greater attacking service than defensive, but was superb at left back. Taylor (a little scare ofter the recent tragedies, but thankfully came through unscathed) can learn a lot from Cacapa and will only get better. Butt was great as a midfield battler, but i can't see him getting us goals. He had a few opportunities and either missed, effort was too weak or passed the ball to another player. I was screaming for them to shoot! Viduka, Owen and Butt when they tried to walk it into the net. Geremi did ok, but he doesn't use his left foot at all and pulled out of a few challenges. Milner was ok, full of running, both forwards and backwards. Martins put in some superb crosses, Ameobi did his job, but i was a bit disappointed with Alan Smith. He just seems to be lacking an attacking presence at the minute. Also, pleased to see the reaction Sibierski got when going off. Hard to say if Kilbane should have been sent off, but his first yellow card was deserved. A game dominated by Newcastle. Harper 7 Taylor 7 Rozehnal 8 Cacapa 9 N'Zogbia 8 Geremi 6 Smith 6 Milner 7 Butt 7 Viduka 6 Owen 7 Subs Ameobi 7 Martins 7

Just been on SSN that Solano could go to West Ham on a free. He is apparently flying there now and could have a medical this evening.

Dejan Stefanovic - Portsmouth to Fulham - £1m - 2 year deal. -
Aren't they more for downloading info after a game? I've no idea tbh. Surely they could be developed for information during a game, especially with technology rapidly improving.
-
I don't see why the Premier League wouldn't allow players to wear heart rate monitors during a game. Perhaps they will now after the recent tragedies and scares.
-
Franck Danquah - I don't think he's 15, maybe 17? What the harm of giving some experience in/with the "first team"
-
Donaldson was on the scoresheet again (3 in 2) against Finland U17s.
-
Considering Bale another left sided player cost an initial £5m and has no Premiership experience and 40 appearances at Championship level. I cant see how this would be a good deal for Newacstle, if it WERE true.
-
It seems the press are mentioning every left sided player Bouazza, N'Zogbia and Seol in the hope that one of the deals might come off. Then they can say "We told you first...". Its the scatter gun approach. I'm sure someone could ask Sam Allardyce tonight at the talk-in about N'Zogbia and also if he IS interested in Bouba Diop.
-
Only quotes in that article are Seol suggesting he would move to Fulham. Would be gutted if N'Zogbia left, especially after his performance against Juventus and with Barton injured and Dyer wanting away.
-
Was it the "Ultras" booing him? Waste of time booing him. Thought he did ok when he came on, looked like he was puting a lot of effort in.
-
I'm sure Allardyce has done this before at Bolton during a cup game, local lad keeper getting a game as a striker.
