    Emre

Have always really liked the guy, the way he plays and his comittment on the pitch. Although this season his injury record has been appalling and may just be the right time for him to seek pastures new. I'd be happy if he stayed but I think we really need players with better fitness levels then wor little emre.

    Chatroom.

anyone in here right now, skirge its time!
  4. I'm guessing it'll be: Jose-----Faye------Diatta------Beye Interesting at how lomana gets on - on his debut; this is why we bought him. HOWAY THE LADS 2-0, jose and oba
  5. whats the trick? I've seen some neat little plays when he's been under pressure. Kevin said that he's after another leftback in the summer to backup and/or compete with Jose so expect to see some healthy competition at that position next season
  6. Exactly..........plus we've wiped out our debts and have loadsaaaa moneyyyyyyyyyyyy so who cares woohoo
  7. I hope Enrique grabs a goal. My prediction is 2-0. Goals by Jose and Oba. :clap2: :clap2:
  8. http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11661_3385878,00.html Newcastle boss Kevin Keegan has praised young defender Jose Enrique and backed him to improve further next season. The 22-year-old Spaniard joined The Magpies for £6.5million from Villarreal last summer but was used sparingly by former manager Sam Allardyce. However, Enrique has played his part in a defence which has conceded two goals in the last three games. Keegan believes the left-back is starting to settle into the English game but has outlined some of the difficulties he has faced in his first season at St James' Park. "Jose is improving with every game. You have got to remember, he has to learn the language - we have got a back four where only Steven Taylor speaks English," said Keegan. "Sometimes in front of him, Jose has had Charles N'Zogbia or Damien Duff, and he cannot understand Damien either. "It has taken him a little while to adapt. We have had a couple of meetings with his brother about what he has to do to improve. Vital "His brother speaks good English, and when Jose was out of the team, he was more or less asking, 'What does he need to do to get back into the team?' "Whatever you are seeing now, it will be another 50 per cent once he has got a pre-season with us under his belt and has not been interrupted like he was last year. "Apparently, he did not have a full pre-season, and that is vitally important for players. "Players who miss any part of pre-season usually suffer somewhere in a season, and Jose, like all of them, had probably had a little problem with that." Keegan accepts that Enrique still has much to learn, but feels the future is definitely bright for the youngster. "His focus is better. There is still improvement in him, but he has got a lot of qualities," Keegan added. "He has a lovely left foot and he has a maturity about him at times that belies his age. He is still a very young player." I've been pretty impressed with his form of late. Still young and the lad has a bright future ahead of him after getting through a difficult patch of settling in. I think the team has really benefitted from keeping the team lineup consistent and not changing the defence around every game like we've done in the past. The defence still needs work but I think Enrique has been improving with every game. I can see Jose having a good 2nd season!
  9. This is how we've thought in the past and I don't think its got us very far. "If we could just get a few bargain deals then they may just come off".........well I think its times to forget the bargain basement this summer and go out to buy some real talent thats shining today and tomorrow, rather than having shone briefly in the past. I'm all for getting decent players from anywhere this summer, as long we get some truly exciting signings too. I'm not meaning trophy signings exactly, just players who answer their critics regularly and don't rely on the odd good performance. Consistent, intelligent and talented....but then again, most clubs want the same

  11. haha really? how old is he now!
  12. I'd be ecstatic if he joined us, totally over the moon.........but I can only see him joining one of the top 4 teams. I'd pay £15m to have him here, hes such an exciting prospect and a quality player, ticks all the boxes. We'd have to show sincere ambition in the summer to get him here, plus Blackburn are higher than us so he may see us as a sideways step, who knows, only he does.
  13. Did he even play for Derby, I've never seen any footage of him recently......

    Abdoulaye Faye

I don't agree with this, I'd say Bent's header was fantastic and extremely hard to defend against, it was so well placed and even Harper had little to no chance. I've liked Faye ever since he arrived. I'd love for us to buy another big central defender to partner him with

    Mike Ashley :-)

http://img211.imageshack.us/img211/8855/80433826mv7.jpg he was apparently dancing around, singing his heart out and having a great time. Would love to see footage of that
  21. I should stay out but, I can't help myself. How many of Martins' starts was he actually playing up front? Who am I? Motty? How many has Owen been up front? Every? Wrong. Not got anything to moan about for once? Oh he'll think of something, give him a few hours Fantastic result today, wish I'd had a chance to watch the match, proper gutted but I kept up with the score. I feel like a kid atm, fuckin' skipping around the place. Cockney rags will be looking for all kinds of excuses tomorrow I'm betting, cunts. Well played the Toon, did us proud today

  24. Personally I think we should be aiming to get in 6 or 7 at least...but he also says hes still assessing the situation too. http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11661_3361576,00.html Kevin Keegan has revealed he is looking to bring in at least three more players when the transfer window re-opens at the end of the Premier League season. Newcastle have found themselves battling it out at the wrong end of the table this season, and Keegan admits he needs to bring in some much-needed quality in the summer in order to achieve an improved finish in next season's campaign. Keegan said in the Daily Mirror: "We're looking to bring in three or four players who are going to set it alight in certain areas. "I suppose we're still assessing the players we've got, up to a point. The bad news is that we've got a small squad, the good news is that it's got a lot of quality so I don't think it needs major surgery. "I'm looking and learning every day in training. I've not been here that long, in spite of what it feels like."
