  1. What a shit article and by article I mean someone copy and pasting Owen's quotes and writing some daft opinion underneath it. I agree the "I don’t think any of the Croatian team would get into our team" isn't very thought through but to call him a Blithering Idiot is just stupid.
  2. Well hopefully in January or in the summer we'll be more reinforced in the creativity department. Sam did amazingly well what was his first transfer window for us on a limited budget at the time, now seeing as the financial structure of the club has been asessed we can afford to be excited by this fast approaching window of opportunity. Apart from Solano, it had always just been flashes of brilliance from these players in the past and no real consistancy was really evident in their time here. Injuries, lack of effort and them generally being greedy crybabies always stifled their progress. So glad we got rid of them and I'm looking forward to learning from these past mistakes. Obviously clubs love to inflate their prices at this time of year but no need to panic if there isn't a cheap Kaka on the market in January, summer will deliver some nice surprises I reckon
  3. Exactly toonlass. In the past we've always had an itchy trigger finger, just waiting to jump on the idiotic tabloid bandwagon and start heads rolling. With a brand new boardroom and a seeminly intelligent and patient setup we'll reap the rewards eventually. We have to get through these tough times, we have to realise that sacking a manager gets us nowhere and continuity is where success lies. Yes, sam will make mistakes and yes at times results will be horrible but I've seen this at so many clubs over the years and they rightly stuck with their manager, supported him and in the end were much better off for it. Its just sad that the media monkeys pulling the strings influence the idiots so easily.
  4. What a laughable thread. Anyone even thinking about a manager change needs to go and grow up. All of the known forum shit stirrers always come on at the same time, just after we lose or if a badly written sensationalist headline is printed in a piss poor tabloid. I recall most of the forum, as soon as Sam was appointed, saying they all agreed that it was the beginning of a new era. One that after dealing with managers so badly in the past, they'd now offer more patience because chopping managers every year got them NOWHERE and often took the club backwards. But of course the general kneejerkers have resurfaced and now with their toys thrown out of their pram, they're stamping their feet and wanting a new manager after only 6 months. Grow the fuck up and have some patience for christ sake.
  5. http://www.skysports.com/football/match_report/0,19764,11065_2847690,00.html 7-1 is bloody EPIC. makes me feel a little better
  6. I think we'll win 0-2 I'm strangely looking forward to it
  7. Patience is they key to success. I've lost count the amount of times I've seen managers who seemed certain for the chop at other clubs, only for their board to keep them, HAVE FAITH and he 9/10 times came good in the end. Seems most Newcastle fans just don't realise what patience will bring because we've never had it at NUFC.....obviously at the end of the season if we're fighting for our lives then theres more cause for concern but to even start a thread about sacking him now is laughable at best.
  8. The thing I like about Ashley is that because he's been standing with the fans this season, he'll know all about our frustrations and so hopefully will be more desperate to put things right. This January will be incredibly important in my opinion, Ashley and Mort will have to make some big money decisions but what we mustn't even think about is letting sam go, that would be an absolute disaster and we'd be back to square one. I trust Sam 100%, he'll just have to spend a little bigger in Jan if he does get the right funds.
  9. I'm sorely disappointed but see my sig for what I think about our manager situation....

    Alan Smith

I agree, would like to see him up there with oba and the duke
  11. Well if he was scoring freely for the toon then I'd be annoyed but he ain't, so I can only giggle in pain for him... Martins will do the business now, with the Duke and..........actually no, not shola (prays) Look on the bright side, Fattison is out on loan so that should make you smile
  12. They should know their place by now... http://216.47.228.178/ProdImages/9629_lg.jpg

  14. Exactly what I was thinking. No offense but I don't think I've ever agreed with anything you've ever said on here stozo, thats just me tho. Even if Given didn't start every game for a season, it brings him down to human levels as he's been like fucking superman for most of the time we've had him and with Harper filling in, no complaints from me whatsoever. We've got bigger priorities.
  15. I agree with that article
  16. As quoted by True Faith:
  17. I thinks theres one of these threads every 2 days, no?

  19. I think given the reputation Newcastle had under the Roeder regime, I doubt Newcastle was high on the favoured destinations of these so called 'big players'. I think he did fantastic with what money he had, also given the uncertainty over the clubs finances its probable he'd hit his transfer fund limit at the end. They're all still working out the kinks in positioning and tactics whilst the players are still getting to know each other. It'll click eventually. Its just the fans impatience and constant questioning of every tiny thing that keeps things pessamistic. Just keep reminding yourself of times under Roeder and the rabble he had to pick for matches, then you'll feel a little better. Either way, if you really are getting twitchy, January is around the corner and Mort has hinted players may be brought in to reinforce the side after the ANC players go on their travels.
  20. yeah, I've escaped to Heaton for the purposes of uni, but I still come into contact with the fuckers on a day-to-day basis It's like they've got diseases! I dunno like, I'm currently living behind enemy lines for uni right now.........it can be a right struggle....Have my toon top in my drawer at the ready in case a burglar breaks in.... I hope the disease doesn't spread onto me, it'd be like that whole Spiderman 3 scene, except with a red sticky stuff overpowering my body........Mackemman 3......jesus..
  21. I'm so gutted, I'll be working a 9 - 6 shift all day then I'm going to a party after that so I won't even have MOTD to watch...... I didn't plan ahead, of course if we lose then I'll not miss much but I have a feeling we'll trounce them and I'll miss every minute! I hope you lot enjoy the match and think about my sorry non-watching position :-[
  22. I wish the idiot fans would just have some patience and read this quote over and over. More likely they'll forget it by next week and spout on about how Mort and Ashley want Sam out and that patience is something they both don't possess...............its depressing but what can you do?
