    Hahaha

lot of truth spoken there for me
  2. He played what? 25 minutes tops? Howay man, at least save this for his first full game.
  3. He fuked up royally at the weekend imo, not for team selection but for not being able to change the game properly. One good thing about Hughton is he learning and he does learn from most of his mistakes. Fingers crossed its all taken on board, though Everton selection is going to cause him headaches and I won't be judging him on what he does there. Aye he's conservative in the extreme, that much is true. Hopefully he'll learn conservative won't keep us up. Time will tell.
  4. So is he shit again now? I can't keep up with the wild swings of hyperbole whenever anything happens.
  5. They're all significant to be fair EDIT: oh and you're as bias as fuck
  6. So much wrong with this it's not even funny. Pray tell Oh, I don't know...maybe Pompey's owner merrygoround. Or Liverpool - look at all the rich people queuing up to buy them! Not like they're the most successful club in English history or anything stupid like that is it? The argument that it's a good thing that "sooner or later" the price would have dropped so we'd get a buyer is laughable. In fact I'm laughing at you now for saying it.

  8. What's forgotten on the due diligence part pre-Ashley is that all of the other parties that DID do it were never seen again, and at that time ostensibly in the financial times we should have been a good prospect.
  9. Be careful what you wish for. Ok, admittedly it was a bit hasty, I followed that link that someone posted of him still banging on at TT, that was so bad it made me want to punch the laptop. At least it's not reached that stage here... yet. what's that link?
  10. if he deserves that title at the end of the season it means we'll have had a very good year indeed - hope you're right, premature for me atm
  11. joining the love in/clapfest: if they've realised how monumentally they themselves fucked up and are self-aware enough to try to not repeat the mistakes then we're as good with them as with anyone else atm - there really don't appear to be a lot of good owners out there in this economic climate if they haven't realised it was essentially all down to them then they'll be doomed to repeat the same mistakes, time will tell
  12. You have to admit tho feelings are running bad, they did see us through a MASSIVE painfull epsiode that was totally avaoidable. Nobody for one second knew how we would start the championship season off. That was down to the players digging in and stopping the slide. However, credit s due as they backed Hughton in Jan. Credit is due as we have had another seinsible transfer window. Stay up this season, and continue to make porgress and people will come round to them eventually. I would still like to see MA and DL interviewed and an apology for a complete fck up. so you're saying you unconditionally love MA & DL then? ffs gimp, tone it down a bit
  13. all else aside this is my fear with Ashley, i have the nagging suspicion that he's currently 'succeeding' (used very loosely) by good luck rather than good strategic management and the wheels will come spinning off again before too long a good season from Carroll / Enrique for example, they'll be sold to the first good bid that comes in imo, might be wrong and i'm aware my opinion is skewed by hating the guy so much I have to say I haven't met anyone I could describe as a member of a "HAPPY CLAPPY ASHLEYITE BRIGADE" and there aren't too many unconditional Ashley supporters on this board imo. For the most part I sense that the majority think he bought the club without doing proper research, then made a series of catastrophic mistakes which, fortunately, he has the money to fund. But he has done a bit better in the last 9 months or so. I doubt that many feel totally confident that he couldn't screw up again tbh. oh well that wasn't specifically the bit i was agreeing with

  15. It seems we're both called Chris, and frankly I honestly can't. One has Chris in his name, the other names himself after an erection. To be fair, after an anagram of "Jim Morrison". is it? what a coincidence! i thought of it all by myself when thinking of mens choppers, at least i've got an excuse now

  17. What on earth are you on about dude? Jesus.
  18. Kenobi, you keep repeating what I'm saying using different words. The original post said about an attacking midfielder that he had good technique but a shit first touch. Anyone with any sense associates the relevant techniques (which you neatly and correctly categorise) with a players position and judges their technique accordingly. Therefore your Messi comparison is poor as defensive technique, which is a spurious concept anyway, is not necessarily always required in an AM/FW depending the team he plays for. First touch, for an attacking midfielder, is a pretty fucking important technical attribute I'd say. But that's just me bonny lad
  19. Discreet, nah there all banging women atm. Still, guess when you're rich and famous you can get them to do owt you like.
  20. so nobody has speculated who the footballer in question is then, the most amazing part tbh
  21. a little liberal with the 's aren't we bonny lad? so good first touch isn't the same as good technique, but "it's a football technique"...hm you have to take technique as a package or you'd need to break down every aspect of every players game and rate them accordingly, you can't fucking say player 'x' has "good technique" but then say he's shit at something that is part and parcel of it surely? you can't say a striker has "good technique" if he can't head or shoot for example, but can kill the ball stone dead from 70 yards every time anyways semantics, nevermind
  22. i attribute technique to the quality of a persons first touch that's all, not contentious as you say just thought the two were amusing so close together, trying to think of a footballer with a shit first touch and good general technique....or indeed vice versa ... ... ... shola springs to mind for the shit first touch, not sure you could say his technique was good though EDIT: http://expertfootball.com/training/control.php
