  1. might as well have written that myself bang on EDIT: christ it's by martin samuel as well
  2. changes the dynamic for me, taking the piss out of the pompey fans is a little distasteful and crass but it's different from swearing on a mic in front of cameras and 47,000 people
  3. see if he didn't why is a "journalist" going in a national newspaper saying he did? hope he sues the shit out of her now then
  4. probably no more deluded than any liverpool fan on the planet thinking their horror story of a team was going to win the title this season
  5. pompey fans aren't taking it in such good humour i'd imagine, nor are the club - we're not talking about a random fan here, we're talking about a man given licence to represent the club with a microphone and the freedom of the pitch i mean what do people want, to be a laughing stock in every single aspect of our existence? we already are on the pitch, the twats in front of sky cameras, and at boardroom level now we have to make arses of ourselves with this type of shit. next step will be foam hands and james brown playing when a goal goes in, not that that will be very often obviously jesus man i can see it for the mackems game for obvious reasons but wheeling him out to swear at pompey fans, how is anyone defending it?
  6. it said top chanter on his shirt!! riiiiight, could see it fucking hell
  7. surely people are more concerned that he ripped the piss out of the pompey fans and this was organised by the club officially - it's fucking diabolical to be honest Not bothered to be honest yet in another topic you i just read seconds ago you refer to the mongs outside SJP - they don't let mongs swear at opposition fans on national tv quite rightly, yet this guy would have had no way of knowing if he was on camera when he did it in front of EDIT: 47,000 (52,000!! what year am i living in?!!) been calling for a return of pride and class to the club for years, a major reason i was glad to see the back of FS actually, and this is not a step in the right direction but granted, we've bigger problems
  8. surely people are more concerned that he ripped the piss out of the pompey fans and this was organised by the club officially - it's fucking diabolical to be honest
  9. looked fuckin awful on the telly like, singing "toon toon" and that jesus
  10. that should be the tactic anyways, never EVER gonna win and a hammering will fuck our goal difference so we need to sit back and try and frustrate them best we can, 4-5-1 oba up top to try and play balls into space as they'll no doubt have a high line if we sit
  11. http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2009/apr/28/newcastle-united-liverpool-michael-owen-alan-shearer Unfortunately, right now, Newcastle seem better at conjuring moments of crass embarrassment. Just before kick-off on Monday night Graeme Danby, a Geordie opera singer, led an on-pitch rendition of Blaydon Races before crudely patronising the smattering of Portsmouth fans who had made the journey north, a round trip of 800 miles and 18 hours. "Have you come in a fucking car?" bellowed the microphone-wielding Danby before further taunting them with: "You're the Mackems of the south coast. as this was written by louise taylor i'm pinning my hopes to her having made this up...jesus man, what price some class at the club?
  12. I am still happy for him to have a season with a squad completely cleaned out of the dead wood currently dragging us down. Give him a team with a greater content of youth/pace/enthusiasm/flair and I think he will do a good job you mean give him better players and he'll be a better manager? doesn't work like that robster, you don't become a great manager by just being good with good players - see guus hiddink as an example personally i think he's showing signs of improvement even with the shite he's gotta deal with (i hate duff & smith but they both looked better players than i ever remember vs pompey) but you can't say he's made a massive impact on things since pitching up his biggest enemy is time this season, had he come in right when went sick then i think he'd have had it worked out by now and we'd be more or less safe but he didn't have that time
  13. A lad in front of me going down the stairs at the end said more or less the same thing. He said " Oba cost us a draw at spurs and a win tonight". i hope you pushed him down the stairs, what a laughable statement
  14. Hey man, I like your positive outlook on things as I am generally a very very positive and optimistic person, but they will KILL us. Our focus should be conceding as few as possible and not damaging our goal dofference which is an advantage we have over some around us. Rafa could play the likes of David Ngo'g, Lucas, Babel and Benayoun and these guys would absolutely still maul us to bits. We are a nothing team whose only hope of victory is against the teams most similar to oursekves who are in and around us. this
  15. A bit of positivity Liverpool might fluff their lines, they're behind Man United again and they really need to win all their remaining games and just hope Man United mess up. Of course this could go the opposite way and they play out of their skins from now until the end of the season ... sorry like but both of you are fucking mental
  16. jesus christ, i've just looked at the table after reading something and see we've won the LEAST amount of games in the PL - less than west brom that is a truly diabolical stat how fucking shit are we man?
  17. 9.75 now - we couldn't score in an empty fucking net man
  18. he was fucking immense. yep, he was the fucking lord throughout that tournament - taking away what he did purely on the pitch he was a leader in every sense despite of all the off field distractions that were taking place such as the corruption stuff and suicide attempt legend
  19. honest? so THATS how it works! someone should have posted this back in december and sent it to , ashley and llamblias 'cause evidently they were struggling with the concept
  20. good post & i agree with a lot of it the spiderman thing though; had it been shola, duff, barton or someone i'd be right there with you but no-one has worked harder than spidey this season, he's worked his fucking bollocks off man and fine he's produced little on the pitch but i couldn't bring myself to hate him for perhaps enjoying his life in Newcastle you know? would make a refreshing change to a lot of the foreign players we've had in the past there are plenty of players who deserve slating before spidey, but i realise it's a wider point you're making
