It's easy to believe that Mitrovic isn't a disciplined enough trainer for Rafa. The problem comes when you try to work out what other players are doing to retain their place when they fuck up actual games week after week.

I just want to stay in the league, I think relegation this time would be very different. As for Rafa, he's a great manager and I hope he stays, but I'm resigned to him going in the summer and I find the idea of him being vital to the possible takeover pretty bizarre. Managers very rarely stay at clubs more than a few years, you don't invest hundreds of millions based on who the manager is.

Because it makes perfect sense for a relegation threatened club to invest a bit more than they usually would to stay in the league and not lose £100m, or whatever it would be. We're just really thick.

I can't imagine they would commit to paying his big wages and a big transfer fee in the summer and then not play him a decent amount of time though.
