Our midfield doesn't stand up to proper scrutiny. I'm not part of the Sam out crew, but it is his fault. I was dead against the buying of Barton and Smith, they're all hardwork and no quality.

Our midfield is atrocious, they can't pass, they have no vision, no footballing brain, the list goes on. Barton, Geremi, and Smith make me grimace every time they get the ball. They do work hard though, i'll give them that.

But people are booing BECAUSE the team is playing badly, not the other way around.

Riquelme could maybe work in a 4-4-1-1 similar to the position Elano plays at City, it would be a risk though. IF we did get him i'm 90% sure it would be for a 4-5-1
