  1. Barnes, Liveramento and Hall all looked like odd signings, they would've made sense last year but this year we needed more high level proven players to be able to compete at the very high level we find ourselves at.
  2. He was dominating midfields since he joined and even linked with Real Madrid and is a regular brazil international, despite the terrible start to the season there is no question of his quality, our issues seem more tactical than anything.
  3. Miley should be integrated into first team football not thrown in there when the shit is hitting the fan, we are not done with Anderson yet so it'll be a while before we seem him as a first team regular.
  4. I gave at a six and said we failed to improve on key ares and other teams around us have done better.
  5. I've said in the other thread that many of the teams around us (Villa, Brighton, etc..) have had much better windows than we did, we are not a mid-table team anymore and what we needed was more proven top level quality players, aside from Tonali we have not signed that since last summer.
  6. Man's watching the Amazon prime documentary thinking he's Mourinho, love him for what he did in the last two seasons but he might've got caught in his own hype at the start of this season, if he doesn't sort this shit out we are really going to suffer for this season.
  7. So does he get any blame for taking us through an extremely important transfer window and coming out with a couple of youngsters and only one starter? it feels like he allowed Eddie to do what he did at Bournmouthwhen he went spending their money on the likes of Jordan Ibe.
  8. After last week's disaster it would've taken something to turn up to this but this is still very disappointing
  9. I don't think its too bad of a window for them, they got 4 players in including two strikers which they really needed, that Burstow kid started Chelsea's last game and they seem to rate him well. But again they have too many young players playing in quite a rough division.
  10. I remember full games would pass by without me seeing him actually do anything, he was way beyond the level you'd expect for a premier league footballer, did somehow manage to get us 3 goals but i doubt many will remember he even played for us in a few years.
  11. Much more exciting game happening in the Saudi Pro league, Mitro scored a hatrick and Al Hilal came back from 3-1 down to lead Benzema/Kante and co's al Ittihad 4-3
  12. Honestly happy with that, some class games and a proper champions league experience. its already looking like this will be such a tough season but it will be a fantastic benchmark to where we are compared to the biggest teams in the world and might give the owners a good indication about what we need to do if we are to get to the top.
  13. Villa, Brighton, West Ham, Chelsea (although they went bonkers they still go their targets at the end)
  14. It does seem like we haven't done as well as others in this transfer market, we still have positions that we need to improve on yet we went and signed youngsters with potential.
  15. Don't think he's done much wrong watching the video but i also don't remember the last time we had a season that did not include Lascelles punching someone.

    Dan Burn

One fucking player to mark and he let him go.
  17. Thank you for the kind words, Nobody wants to talk about Howe at the moment but this discussion will come up sooner or later.
  18. We seem to continue to shit ourselves every time we have a "big" occasion, he took us a great step ahead but this sort of shit like today shows that he is far from the level of manager that will win trophies, Klopp outclassed him at every level with 10 men.
  19. We will continue to pay the price for having him in the team and not replacing him, he is not at the level we are right now.
  20. We've had far worse signings, he was a squad player and had some contributions here and there, happy for him to be moved on though.
  21. And it is them who will ultimately be accountable for how the team preform, our owners want us to be there amongst the very best and hopefully we will be , but signing a lot of youngsters sometimes mean it takes longer to see the results.
  22. Someone like Diaby to cover the right wing, players some champions league/international football experience, surely if Villa can afford him we can too?
