Not fully satisfied with this window myself, we are playing at a very high level this season and aside from Tonali we've signed players with no experience of playing at the highest levels, good prospects and good lads but we should've aimed higher, keeping Almiron/Murphy as our main choices at RW in the champions league might prove to be something we regret.

They are not far off, just less than a year ago they beat eventual world cup winners Argentina at the WC and both their national team and local talents are improving fast.

They want their league to be a top 5 league in no time, to be fair i watched a couple of matches this season and it was more exciting than a lot of other leagues

Why are we so bad at getting rid of players, literally paying people to take them off us.

City did so well passing the ball around him and avoiding going head to head, he was hardly involved in the game which says something.

Possibly the best value for money signing we ever made.

I can't help but feel we really missed a chance with not getting Diaby when the chance was there.

Really good when he came on, it should be him first then Longstaff going forward.

We gave them far too much respect and didn't really look convinced we could get something out of it, Howe and his team will need to learn to manage such occasions better.

It was so obvious since last season that he's one of the main players we need to upgrade from going forward, yet we spent our window buying players in other positions and then having to play a right back to replace him while chasing the game at the Ettihad, we did well getting Tonali but a LB and a RM were the absolute top priorities after that.

We lack the killer instinct needed at this level, Almiron will be a clear problem this season.

Actually quite nice to have some international football at SJP during the break! i don't get people having an issue wit this, our boys go there each winter for some sunshine weather so it makes sense they would send their football team here during the hot months in Saudi.

That would've been a good one for us.

Superb Cameo today, looked like he was really up for it.

Looked sloppy today, hopefully he'll get sharper and he's had great help from Joelinton and Tonali.

What a wonderful start to the season, can't think of any better one that we've had. the players looked sharp and focused and everyone played their part and i'm already very excited about the next one.

Back to dominating everyone, bossed it all game.

He looks perfectly suited to the way we play, incredible first 30 minutes from him and hope he can keep this up for the season.

So so good today, seemed to do no wrong and helped the team in every area on the pitch.

Must admit i was disappointed to see him start and not Barnes but he fully justified his inclusion in the first half, worked very hard and set up the opening goal, very very bright start to his season.

What an incredible start to his season, he looked almost Haaland-esque in a lot of his plays today, they were terrified of him,.
