You’re not wrong. I’m quite shocked at the quality of it. Is this just a shit game or is it indicative? I’ve not really been following this World Cup so far. They’re generally organised and fit enough but some of the body co-ordination, shooting and heading is abysmal. The media are trying to make out that the quality is something that it clearly is not.

It’s all a bit shit mind.

Bumped into my bloke at the club today. Says nobody knows anything but they all get the feeling that the club are planning to be sold. No transfers will happen because of this (as if we didn’t know) he did say that Rafa wasn’t in the best of moods at the training ground. Probably out of sheer frustration I’d guess.

Wonder how many times we’ll hit the woodwork in the shootout.

Spoke with the bloke I know at the club. They’ve been told nowt and been told to say nowt, given that this bloke is usually good for at least an opinion then I’d say that the club are expecting this to happen. He did say that some announcement or update could come over the weekend. The lack of info coming out has to be a positive.

Aye, not good, lad filming it needs a word with himself mind. How about don’t film yourself and try and talk to Gazza like he’s a bloke needing help and not an exhibit for you to display.

What’s the stadiums primary use, can’t be football and looks a funny shape for athletics; either way it’s awful for spectators.

It is a worry that these are making all these noises in public, as others have said we have no idea what sort of funds this lot have access too. Their official website looks like a knocked up schoolboy project and reports of recent restructuring within the group taking place to improve their financial position suggests they’re hardly rolling in it. We could be on the verge of selling to chancers whose own website puts profit as the number one driver. Gotta hope that Ashley is true to his word that he’ll only sell to someone who take the club forward and can show that. My early enthusiasm is making way to caution.

The silence from our end has to be a good thing. I am a little surprised it’s from the Middle East as it was reported that Ashley royally pissed potential new owners off with his antics back in 2008 and it was suggested they’d stay well clear in the future as Ashley was a nightmare to deal with. Ashley was touting us like a cheap trick and then went on the drink when he had a chance to attend a meeting. I wonder if Staveley has had involvement in this current situation, she seems to be the go to person for the region. I’m believing that this is happening, mainly because I believe Ashley genuinely wants to sell this time. It’ll be very interesting to learn of who has been involved. Has any journalist asked or commented on Staveley about the current shenanigans?

Sitting here in Menorca (I know) iffy weather but have watched Sunderland gloriously lose yesterday and had this today. The poor mackem family I saw in their tops in excited anticipation on Saturday must be loving their topper hols now. Does anyone have any idea what kind this bloke has? We’re not going to be City’s bitch are we?

Been here in Menorca for an hour and seen one family in football shirts, yet again it’s cheesy chips stained Mackem shirts. Never fail. So it’s true, they’re all on holiday.

He’ll be looking after outgoing loans and how loanees are getting on professionally and personally.

Not sure if it’s linked to any structure requests Rafa has made but an apple eating legend will be taking up a new role this week or next. Either way it’s a new position that we didn’t have previously for a loan co-ordinator (which the Ronny reported about a couple of months ago).
