He didn't quite put it like that did he now, he said he needed the change as he wasn't in Rafa's team. He also said he likes a manager to talk to him, where Rafa didn't really do that. He made the point that it was just his view on it, and also pointed Rafa was a great manager and wasn't criticising him. Shelvey was on his way out under Rafa He was/ is renting a house in Darras and was asked if he’d be here this season and his reply was not if Rafa was still here.

I have no words, I suspected it may have been Sam after what I was told last night, woke up to news that he’d turned it down then had to listen to him on Talk Sport driving to work. I hated Sam when he was here, was convinced he’d take us down, but Steve Bruce man, I’m not even convinced he supported us as a kid, seems he’s only ever been a Geordie when it suited. SJP ain’t going to be a nice place, relegation here we come.

Who is it then? Any ideas? No idea, if it is correct then you’d have to think it’s someone who they’ve had to negotiate with, as opposed to just drafting someone in. That kind of thinking is dangerous mind ‘cos it also leads to who is doing the appointment. They’ve simply been told it’s not Bruce and it’ll be Friday. At this point I wouldn’t rule anything out could end up worse than Bruce and they’re delaying bad news.

So, I’ve been told that the new manager will be appointed on Friday (subject to all being agreed) and that it is not Bruce. No further news on a takeover.

It hasn't got the history for that, imo. It's fine, though. The women are getting better, and other nations are making bids to come at us, as leaders of the sport. Good times ahead. Also Rapinoe would walk into the NUFC first 11. Only if you were the manager Mike.

We’re not signing anyone at the moment, no chance. Ashley is running the show with Penfold his puppet, we might sell players but we ain’t signing any. Redfearn will become caretaker manager and will be told who he can sign, if anyone, which will all depend on if we get sold. The players were in today getting their gear ready for tomorrow, bet they were all delighted with the shit show.
