The 6 in row is nowt really, we beat them 5 in a row (twice?) and it was never mentioned. I was at Roker Park when they beat us (a draw would have been a fair result) 1-0 (Stan Cummins) in 1980. They never beat us at Roker Park again and we didn’t lose away to them for another 28 years and prior to that they last beat us at Roker Park back in 1967 (excludes a Texaco Cup game). That’s over 40 years with 1 home win against us. Now that’s a record that will not be broken unless they linger around the lower divisions.

Still patting themselves on their own back for being class fans. The Don could have taken time to individually thank each and everyone of them.

    St James' Park

Biggest game and crowd in the region today. Another factor for the Sunderland attendance.
  5. Harsh yellow he’s paid for the silly first

That .com report is a bit ott. The players let Bobby down as they threw away a CL place. The booing was for those players and it wasn’t that much where I was. Not many stayed behind because of the performances late in that season. On a different note; that Leicester first half, bloody hell that was good.
  7. Spurs need to go 100% Wimbledon here
  8. Got to pity Village Idiot, poor bugger. https://streamable.com/88s2u
  9. Hats off to them, Barca made of chalk but that was incredible. ?
  10. That was incredible thinking by Trent.
  11. Scousers not liking Suarez going all Fabinho for a change. Lovely.
  12. Billy Askew should win this by a country mile. He played a blinder against us for Hull, we bought him and by god he was beyond awful.
  13. Rondon, once he got up to speed he’s been fantastic.
  14. Villa are very lucky that Leeds allowed them to score as there was nowt in the challenge but the sending off was total shit housery.
  15. We’ll get murdered next week if we have to put out a fairy scratch side due to injuries.

    Alan Shearer

Distance is a consideration along with a host of other factors. Definite red for me - any doubters need to remind themselves of Almiron hitting the post against Huddersfield. Anyone not thinking this was a clear goal scoring opportunity needs having a word with themselves. From my view I also thought excessive force was also used, he gave him a right clout.
  17. Looked impact injury from where I was, strange
  18. The lad can play, he has great feet and he niggles and gets in the way - he’s always had that. Now that’s he stronger on the ball has made a huge difference, in both directions, he’s no longer prone to losing possession and putting us under pressure and by doing so he’s creating attacking situations we were missing out on before.
  19. Can’t believe I’ve not taken the Sterling/ Son shots on target offer.
