Match days are so sanitised these days. You still get stories from away matches, but nothing really happens inside the ground in the home end these days. Even when there was only 14k or so there against someone shite in the old 2nd division there was usually something happening in the crowd. I guess I miss standing most of all - it opens up a world of possibilities.

They were rubbish and so were we. Once we equalised we should have won comfortably. Great strike but it wasn't a free kick and then we didn't defend it. For a derby and after a 3-0 home defeat in the last game we were pretty disgraceful.

Mapou had to go; Suarez was a cunt. Stevie G should have gone, the ref bottled it and reacted to the crowd by quietly telling him he'd been a lucky boy. Suarez reacted to Mapou's hand like he'd been tugged by a parachute deploying from a 30,000 foot free fall.

Played regularly against Gary Robson and another lad who played for Sland - Atkinson. Played in the same team as Colin Suggett when he was passed it and Aiden McCaffrey. Played in the same 5 a side team as Justin Robson. Gary Robson was quite small as a school boy and didn't stand out but got picked up by West Brom who must have been hoping he'd be turn out like his brother Bryan. By all accounts, Justin was reckoned to be the most talented as a youngster. Trained in the same side as a teenage Joe Allon. Back in the early 80's it could be very fine margins about who was given trials and an awful amount of luck and who knew the local scouts. We had a lad who was mostly sub for us who had trials for Sunderland.

I'm more than prepared to believe that MA is looking to sell us, I'd be amazed if he wasn't. He fucking hates us for having the audacity to love our club and despair at his initial handling of it. I've little doubt that he came in with good intentions and to spend some money but the man holds grudges. Rangers will be back in the SPL in a couple of years, they'll be a cheaper play thing and he'll hopefully have learned from his mistakes. He might even win things. The man lost 133 million on spread betting on shares, he didn't even bother buying shares, he placed fucking spreads on them, lost and walked away. If I remember he went to the casino a couple of weeks later and lost a few hundred grand without batting an eyelid. He has no intention of spending any more of his money on us unless he absolutely has too. His choice. Here's hoping someone, someone good, buys the club from him and he can go and be a miserable twat up the road.
