Anderson isn’t mobile enough, Chalobah, who knows. Can’t judge him on Chelsea last season. Cucurella, not for me, I’d much rather have Robinson or Walker Peters (though he’d cost too much for us I’d suspect). Cucurella has no real end product and is poor defensively. He’s also far too small; Eddie likes his players to have a physical edge.

If I were playing as the attacker I’d actually try and wait for the defence to step up and make my move at the same time. There’s a good chance I’d be onside with this rule.
-
You either don’t have VAR and give the attacker a slight benefit of doubt or, you use VAR and if any part of your body you can score with is ahead of the defender, you’re offside. I’m accepting here that VAR lines etc will be correctly applied.
-
That’s offside ffs. How is a defence supposed to hold a line with that rule change?

Has the DH Gate got the stripes on the sleeve wrong - Noom logo is on a white stripe, the official on a black stripe or, are both just random depending on how the sleeves just happen to be stitched in the sweat shop on the hundreds of shirts they’ll produce?

James Maddison (now playing for Tottenham Hotspur)

He’s really great value at 40M imo. He was however, part of a side that were relegated, a squad that really shouldn’t have been near relegation. Meanwhile Tonali was playing in a team that shouldn’t have got near the semi final of the Champions League. -
Can’t PIF just make the sell on clause disappear for us? We own them right?
-
Don’t think Harvey Barnes is at the level or has the potential ceiling required for the money he’d cost. He seems to do pretty much everything at an ok level but looks pretty good at taking a chance which, imo makes him appear better than he is.

The Mods are busy taking down posts by the looks of things. This one and the original have disappeared.

St James’ Terrace wouldn’t be missed in the slightest imo. Having said that, it wouldn’t solve the problem of Leazes Terrace, which at the corner of the East Stand and Leazes End gets pretty damned close to the stadium. These mock ups fail to show a new East Stand as you approach it, I have no idea whatsoever how you’d rebuild the East Stand and add 10k seats without it looking like a complete carbuncle. Then again, I’m no architect or engineer, just doesn’t seem to be enough space to do much.

John McCririck was a famous punter and Newcastle fan. Definitely a love him or hate him punter but undoubtedly famous.
-
I’d expect a pretty significant overhaul of the squad off the back of this news.
-
It’s reasonable to assume that we’ve sold the project to Tonali. It must also be reasonable to assume that part of this included other targeted players for this window. If we can get in a LB, CB and another MF option we’re going to be cooking. Going to be some sad goodbyes along the way together with a give away for a few others. Got to try and avoid loaning deadwood out, just get them off the books.

Can’t see Milanista said anything controversial. If the lad does sign it’s a huge kick it the bollocks for Milan and he’d still have to prove himself here. I’d expect there to be a buy back type option at a reduced price if it’s not working out. Hope we’ve done our homework on the boy.

Get a bit of defensive discipline into Robinson, get him drilled into our defensive lines and I think he could transform our left hand side. I really do like the look of him, all depends if we believe we can get him sorted defensively. I know that sounds a bit mad as he is a LB; he just seems a bit detached from the other defenders when I’ve watched him for Fulham.

Great pass by Rashford there

Castore quality and ability to provide stock is a well worn road. They had all kinds of trouble with Rangers gear a couple of years ago, outsourcing (as they all do) to people like Fruits of the Loom who wouldn’t remember to take all the Fruits of the Loom labels off. Also read a story where the Rangers club shop were selling black sweaters for £55 a pop where the labels were for school uniform gear.

James Maddison (now playing for Tottenham Hotspur)

If you had zero affinity to NUFC, at this point in our journey, it’d be a massive leap of faith to choose us over Spurs. In lots of ways I’m good with that; it means we get the “right” players. Attitude, application, ambition and absolutely buying into where you are playing will outweigh marginal ability. If Maddison prefers Spuds, let him go. -
If we find out where the leak came from we’d know a bit more about our chances. Really can’t see it happening and if it does it needs to happen quickly. Much bigger clubs will be all over this now.
-
He was more highly rated than Sean before either of them hit the 1st team. Always seemed to me that he had chronic lack of pace, beyond slow compared to any other player no matter who the opposition were. That will always be a problem for him, possibly even worse for him as he plays with inferior players and where athleticism can make up for skill and touch.

Parsnip this shite. True storey; his mother got so bladdered on a night out the World Cup before last, that Southgate asked Pickford if she was ok the next day. His parents drink down the riverside Fatfield.

I used to stand there regularly before the redevelopments shown in that photo. I sit pretty damn close to there now.

Ujpest had a team full of internationals, did the domestic double that year and the year after, got to 2 European Cup QF and a SF. They were a top side. As for West Ham, you can only win who you are put up against and it’s a European trophy. Fair play, rotten name for it. Sounds like it’s for a semi pro league, I mean, Conference, really?
