I really hope we smash the upcoming transfer window and give everyone something to think about. Must say the entitlement of Liverpool fans can be quite staggering. Most ignore or don’t remember the money club they became in the 70’s and the casual way they collected the best players from other clubs. The Kop openly sang for Beardsley and the media were forever courting players on their behalf.

Had the unfortunate luck of going to The Dog & Parrot after the game. They serve decent Guinness but according to them the Council decree it has to be in a plastic glass unless you know the owner when a proper glass is ok. Wraith then turns up with SuperMac to give his post match thoughts and in doing so a part of me dies seeing my childhood hero paraded like a side show exhibit. All topped off by a large group of travellers turning up with a black dwarf dressed up in a baby blue romper suit, cable tied around the hands with “Dick the Baby” emblazoned on the romper suit. Ensues loads of laughs, photos and me complaining to the bar staff who were shit scared and me and my mate having to leave out pint and walk out before we said too much. Incredible; I’m still in shock tbh.

Long term I don’t think he’s got a future if he continues like this. If we are to become the team we all want he’s not the man. He’s a wonderful talent but as a unit, where we will be upgrading all areas he’ll simply not be needed or indeed be able to fit into the team. He has to adapt or we outgrow him. The alternative is that we are not going to be good enough.

Poor today, his passing of the ball and crossing is unbelievably poor. He’s become very easy to defend against. Defend on his inside and double up and he’s likely to be caught in possession or deliver a wayward pass. He needs work in the training or long term he’s out of here.

Really, hadn’t realised. If that’s the case they should bring ticket prices back down. I’m all for giving free tickets out to those on hard times as well, say 500 or so every home game. It’s loose change in the big scheme of things but a huge gesture and a massive opportunity.

Believe mine in The Milburn is now over £800. Gotta be honest; I’m very disappointed with the club. That’s a hell of a hike, we’re in a cost of living crisis and we’re potentially pricing fans out of attending. We’re supposed to be the richest club in the world and in touch with the fans. This smacks as an unnecessary, opportunistic, grab thank frankly isn’t needed. My ticket has stayed the same but I’ll be honest I’d struggle to justify upwards of £850 and I’d be heartbroken to have spent decades supporting shite and then missing out as it gets promising. I really don’t understand the rationale. The supporters are the club, why punish supporters coming back, many of who boycotted Ashley and helped pave the way for the takeover.
