  1. Anyone in here would think people don't actually play Football Manager. Sheesh.
  2. Very good player at that level. Here's hoping we don't come up against him next year.
  3. Would rather we recalled Armstrong and played him over signing Gayle.

    Florian Thauvin

    We'll always remember Northampton eh?
  5. It's more the fact we didn't even try for two goalscorers who are English, obviously Afobe would have been more of a risk than Austin but would he have been anymore of a risk than Mitrovic ? Yeah it's a good shout. Just think this transfer policy by commitee will always have us on the back foot. Just feel like we make good players look average and average players look crap at the moment.
  6. Don't think we'll get 40 points now. Just need to hope at least three other teams don't either.

    Steve McClaren

Still prefer him to that cunt Pardew. Occasionally we even look like we're trying to play half decent football. Very occasionally mind. Caveat being never wanted him in the first place.
  8. Few people assuming Watford are utter w*** and we should have turned them over today. Bit strange given their recent losses have generally come against very good sides. We obviously weren't great today and if anything our transfer policy hurt us by forcing us into a formation we never looked totally comfortable with. Still struggling with trying to fit 2 or 3 number 10s into a team when we have a striker who'd (potentially) thrive off decent crosses. Have we had a decent cross come in from the left all season?
  9. Yeah definitely missed having the mobility and inventiveness of Perez around him today. It's obvious Mitro has certain strengths and we need to play to them if we want to score through or around him. Didn't do that enough today.
  10. Shame Austin reportedly never really wanted to move North or else you'd have a bit more of a point.
  11. Don't think we're desperate for a wide player, just give Aarons a chance instead.
  12. Looking at Newcastle teams in the past, he provides quality striker link up play which we've not had certainly since Carroll who really wasn't first choice all that long. Shola never mastered it, Viduka was way past his best and Shearer was so unfortunate with injuries, certainly in the latter part of his career. Mitro has the core to be a very good striker - if he can add the finishing to his game I can see him being a very successful Premier League striker. Even for now he adds a massive focal point for our attack and causes defenders constant headaches.
  13. I take it all back just for that pass. Bloody hell.
  14. Worrying lack of movement in CM but we've had that all season. At least Jonjo might actually pass the ball forward occasionally.
  15. Just sums up how shambolic QPR are really. Is a great price considering. Think I'd prefer to keep giving Mitro a chance and build him up though rather than getting Austin. In FM terms Austin a higher CA, Mitro more PA. Here's hoping with a better midfield we make more chances and score more goals with the team we've got.
  16. Thought that was Mbemba? Was tiote I thought. Wasn't Sissoko though. Whoever it was made no effort to get back. It was Sissoko. Was a poorly drinked ball in from the right. And to be fair pretty much everyone made little to no effort to get back. Tiote and Colback painfully jogged back at a speed an OAP could outpace. Eventually watched MOTD and I was completely mistaken, was Mbemba so my rage at the TV was wrong
  17. The sort of player who would definitely help us stay up, but not sure if would be a good long-term fit. Know a few Spurs season ticket holders and they just don't rate him. He's infuriating when it comes to cutting inside and shooting (normally badly) but he's relatively young, hard-working and professional. Knows the league too which definitely does help. It's good we're getting players with a point to prove rather than those here for a pay day, but yeah, sure there's more promising/exciting players out there who could have fit better.
  18. It's a fair question that actually. Who is a wide player in the league that you think of who consistently puts in accurate, quality crosses? Because that's what we need to get more out of Mitrovic. Almost hate to say it, but judging from last night Ashley Young still knows how to cross. Shame he's been converted into a full back and is a diving little punk.

  20. Absolute garbage pass which led to their second. Needs to cut that out and look more assured when we're on the ball building up possession. Still, gets you out of your seat when he breaks on the counter, which is a hell of a lot more than you can say for most.
  21. Feel like he took one for Sunderland by joining us and purposely being shit. No way a man can avoid the ball that much without doing it on purpose.

    Paul Dummett

We really could do with a left-back who can defend AND play football, but fair play to the lad for his goal today. Like him, but he's not a modern day Premier league full back.
  23. Did okay today and was good against Arsenal. Doesn't really make up for being crap/absent for two years. Bye.
  24. Makes David Batty look like Pele. Wank cuntface shitburger.
  25. If Colback just stood in the same place for 90 minutes he'd have more chance of ever being in the right place at the right time. His off the ball movement is f***ing atrocious and positioning when defending almost as bad. Just absolutely no options when the defense has the ball because the midfielders just hide.
