  1. Will never outdo this hunk: http://i4.chroniclelive.co.uk/incoming/article11026490.ece/ALTERNATES/s615b/JS62446192.jpg
  2. Finally got round to watching the highlights. Sels
  3. We've had some very good footballers leave us when they're at their pomp, this guy is not one of them. Would say he's far behind the midfielders like Cabaye and Hamann for what they produced for the club. Can imagine he'll do well for a team like Liverpool. But for a team like us, players who can go AWOL are the last thing we need. Even if they are capable of the odd moment of real quality.
  4. Looking at the Bohemian's line up, looks like he started at left-back? Seems to just be a gap filler given how Rafa has used him so far.

    Sammy Ameobi

Think this should have been in 'Still not worthy of a thread' to be fair. Oh Sammy.
  6. Have been saying for a while we have way too many players who want to be the 'number 10'. Even if Gini and Sissoko go, it's probably still Perez's preferred position. Would love to see De Jong stay and prosper, but really wouldn't be surprised if Rafa has looked at it and thought this season we're looking at a system where he potentially won't fit.
  7. Just hope this Hanley talk doesn't mean Mbemba ends up leaving before the window closes. Would be crazy to sell him.
  8. Well done Sissoko. He kept his word and helped us get relegated. Thanks a lot.
  9. Would take Mason over Colback all day long.

    U23s & Academy

So has Harvey actually signed with us? Difficult to keep track of all these youth signings, but given how crap our U21s and U18s were last season really good to see if being shaken up.
  11. Random. You'd expect 20 year olds to be pushing for the first team... Think it's a good way of not putting too much pressure on them. Findlay played over 20 games in the SPL and El-Mhanni is known as the 'non-league Mahrez' - http://weaintgotnohistory.sbnation.com/2016/4/1/11341908/who-is-chelsea-trialist-and-youtube-sensation-yasin-ben-el-mhanni-the
  12. Would snatch their hands off getting a combined £50m for those two. Would even throw Gouffran in for free.
  13. Yeah would love to see him get a chance, as if he doesn't he joins the ranks of foreign signings like Luque, Andersson and Maric in the history books of what could have been.
  14. Absolutely nailed it.
  15. Never had the greatest career sense. I mean, joined us ffs.
  16. Will be Damien Duff mkII. Will play and score in the first game of the Championship season then bugger off.
  17. Dembele (the Fulham one) to Celtic on the cheap - http://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/teenage-starlet-moussa-dembele-undergoing-8301065

    Matz Sels

Don't mind where Krul ends up, all the best to him.
  19. We should definitely go after him, miles better than any of our midfielders. Absolutely bang average player.
  20. Not massively fussed about Krul. He's decent and all, but don't think he's up to the standards of keepers we've had in the past and wouldn't blame him if he chose to move on now.
  21. Generally I'd say I've been more forgiving than most Newcastle fans when players wanted to leave. Players like Given and Cabaye, I was obviously sorry to see them go but still follow their careers and consider them players I was privileged to see in our shirt. Sissoko on the other hand, is a coward who only really has two natural assets to his game - strength and direct running. Good riddance and hope you get exactly what you deserve for the rest of your career.
  22. Of the higher earners, personally I think it'll break down as follows: Think they'll leave: Colocinni Janmaat Tiote Wijnaldum Sissoko Thauvin Cisse 50/50: Krul Mbemba Perez Townsend De Jong Anita Saivet Riverie Gouffran Stuck with: Taylor Colback Shelvey Will Stay: Mirtovic
