Better than the fraud Collback but comes across as a massive bellend and one with discipline problems too. The amount of times he leaves a foot in when he shouldn't or does something stupid will eventually catch up with him. To think Palace paid roughly the same for Cabaye

Watford (A) FA Cup - Sat 9th Jan at 3pm (not on TV) - Pre-match thread
thenige replied to ChrisJbarnes's topic in Football
Had a couple of drinks last night and bought a ticket in one of the home stands as I'm only an hour or so journey from the ground. Will be interesting to hear Watford fans opinions on Gouffran running the midfield whilst Toney scores a perfect hat trick. -
This is just as worrying as what's going on with the first team. Our U18 and U21 teams have been bloody awful this season. The U21s are 10th (out of 12) in the Premier League Division Two, whilst the U18s are 9th (again out of 12) in the North Prem. What happened the idea of bringing players through for the future of the club? Sure they'll come out and say they're like Ajax and Barca, where they're concentrating more on playing the 'right way' than getting results. Which if it was actually the case would be fair enough. Sadly I doubt that somehow.

Harsh that but have to take your chances. Bloody hate arsenal fans mind.
-
May be depressing supporting us at the moment but even then I'm bloody thankful I don't have to watch West Brom every week. Having to pay for that privilege? No thanks.
-
Could really do with some CMs who aren't total shite.
-
Worst consistently starting player in the Prem? If he isn't, can be far off it. Saying that, depresses the fuck out of me knowing he's better at football than me.

From a business perspective he's not really doing much wrong. The club would need to invest an insane amount to get anywhere near the next level of financial pavements (Champions League) so as long as we tick over in the Premier League it'll always be a solid investment. I imagine he thought it was too close to call last season so thought some hefty investment on sellable assets was due so could spend money and 'please the fans' at the same time. Even if we went down parachute payments would lessen the blow. In principle I like the idea of someone who'd invest in youth and try and build something that way. It's just a massive shame so much of what he does at the club is clouded in a mixture of secrecy and absolute stupidity. I honestly believes since the fans turned on him he gives absolutely no shit about the club, performances and supporters. Everything is done for profit and publicity. No chance he'll sell unless he gets a mental offer. You want to watch football with feeling, a sense of togetherness and the prospect of progress I'd suggest finding a different football club.

Only chance is to get Zaha sent off first half minutes of the second half. He strikes me as some dumb it's entirely possible. Sadly we're so shite I reckon their 10 would still do us.
-
To be fair why would they sing anything else against us?

Probably had my best Black Friday weekend deal by saving £30 in not getting a ticket for this shower.

Colo is looking so shot he's starting to make me reminisce about Cacapa.
-
Always good to see Colback in the side, just to know what the answer to "if I defecated ginger what would it look like?"
-
Still think he's better at CB than LB and even there he's about fourth choice at best.

The thing that fucks me off the most was reading about his thoughts on Perez - how he "didn't know much about him and he's forced his way in". A player who started a good number of Premier League matches last season. So we went out and spent all our transfer budget on a player who wants to play number 10 and is stuck on the LW, swapped one crap winger for another and signed in fairness, a decent striker and defender. Was it pot luck? One player for each position and that'll do? We now have a squad with at least four number 10s (Gini, De Jong, Perez, Sissoko) and what looks like no decent centre-mids and only one defender (Mbemba) who on current form isn't an absolute liability. The squad is so unbalanced it's ridiculous. Would it have been that hard to do your honework ffs? The spine of the time is laughable. It looks an almost impossible job seeing as so many players are phoning it in. But the manager no-one particularly wanted has done almost nothing to stop the rot so far.

Had this match at over 2.5 goals. Top day.
-
So many of them clearly don't want to be playing for us. Cowards or just shit I'm not sure, but just don't want to be there
-
Has joined the truly does not give a fuck group. Will be shocked if he's here for the first game of next season, whichever division we're in.
-
How this kid got my Fantasy Team 6 points yesterday was a miracle. Think he touched the ball about four times and somehow ended up with an assist.
-
Just don't think there's a single thing he does well. About half a dozen errors in the first fifteen minutes. We need two CM's in the next transfer window.
-
Most of them look like they really don't want to be playing football early on a Saturday morning when it's pissing it down in Bournemouth. Thankfully for a lot them, they can scarcely be said to be playing football. Anita in that first half. Christ. Let's just hope the wind wasn't blowing our way first half eh?

Put one of the worst performances I've ever seen in the Newcastle shirt against Everton at home. Put amongst the best in a number of other games mind. He was and probably always will be inconsistent. More so if he has a shit manager like Pards or fucking Bruce. Would have never been playing under managers like that if he was consistent mind.

The one off Sissoko was a bloody good one IMO.
