Plays for BI/Bolungarvik now with Nigel Quashie. Capacity 2,000. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/B%C3%8D/Bolungarv%C3%ADk Always get unreasonably interested in players that drift around really obscure teams. How does it happen?

...which is my point although presumably you won't have Keshi trying to destroy you any more.
  4. Ba has 16 goals in 18 games (incl. CL) for Besiktas. Weird how he didn't get more of a chance/do better at Chelsea, the guy's an absolutely cracking striker.

Fair enough, he'll probably get games for them.
  6. Hows that maths degree working out for you then? I used 24 since it's my birthday next week. And I also used 5 for absolutely no reason at all. I basically performed a completely unrelated calculation.

Yeah, there seems to be an effort to not talk down about any players/teams in the US which is somewhat fair enough as it's a fairly new sport and they are trying to get it off the ground. But when big names like Jones, Keane, Donovan etc put in performances like that they should definitely be pulled up on it. Nguyen looks like he's good but unfortunately wasn't (if that makes sense). 18 goals is a terrific return for a midfielder though over the season. It was weird, both teams played the game at a very slow pace as if it was a friendly... then the final whistle blew and everything burst into life Nonetheless, I look forward to the new MLS season as the enthusiasm you get from the fans, commentators, media etc is pretty infectious looks like a proper fun day out.
  9. Colback was good the other day. He's just petrified of making proper attacking runs. As for "goals will come" I really can't see it being an aspect of his training under Pardew. If anything he'll be encouraged not to venture into the opposition half.
  10. Really annoyed at this. How in the fuck do you get injured kicking a ball on your second start of the season? It's one of the only things he probably practices every single day yet he gets injured performing the simplest task possible in a game of football. Such a fucking fat moron.

It was more the fact that the players appeared not to have even slight ability. Ishizaki trying to kick forward and instead kicking it with his standing foot sideways, the set piece-takers drifting the ball out every single time (even one of the goals was from a free kick hitting the one-man wall), Zardes inexplicably launching the ball 10 feet in the air with every touch, crosses hitting the crossbar, foul throws etc etc. Also, Chris Tierney watching an offside trap happen 5 yards on front of him and keeping Keane onside then being described as one of their best players and that it's "hard to watch the ball over the top and watch the diagonal runner" he's looking right along the line! http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-S7K8UPCxNDI/VITih_ac8bI/AAAAAAAABm0/z-cji1UH2-U/s1600/tierney-caught.gif The baffling thing is the reaction to it on the internet (not here, of course). Jermaine Jones was apparently "phenomenal in the second half" and a "gladiator" despite putting in one of the worst performances I've ever seen from a player. Been trying to find detailed stats but I'd be surprised if his pass completion in the final third was above 20%. Also made a horrific lunge on Donovan and was fouling all over the shop. Also seen MOTM nominations for Ishizaki, Farrell and others who were also turgid gash. That Kobayashi who came on must have gave the ball away every time he got it. I've seen good matches in MLS but this was a bad advert for the product.

That was so crap 2 hours of my life wasted. The Donovan love is creepy and weird.

    That offside trap

63% pass completion could get better just kicking it at random

It's been particularly awful. There is literally no quality anywhere. MLS isn't usually this bad, players must be scared. Guys just booting it out the park at every opportunity.

Jermaine Jones has put in one of the worst performances I've ever seen. Absolutely tragic.
  17. Tells you all you need that he's dropping attackers out the squad before a 0-0 draw. It's mind bogglingly predictable and moronic.
  18. Christ please don't do that
  19. Why would Man City want to replace Toure? toure wants away, or his agents want him away, there's nothing so clear as that tbh Wonder if he'll go to Qatar within minutes or seconds.
  20. If anyone ever loses to Hull they should retire. They are absolute mince.
