  1. I thought he's always looked fairly dangerous. Definitely a good option off the bench to cause a bit of a ruckus. It is still a valuable squad position, it'll be difficult to get 2-3 first teamers in each position anytime soon.
  2. I still yearn for the Mbabu-Mbiwa-Mbemba defence. Not sure they ever played on the same pitch.
  3. Gone down the rabbit hole of seeing where some of our young up-and-coming players from the last decade are. Some good old names Remie Streete, Mackenzie Heaney and the like. Fun reading
  4. Doubt we got anything for that Seems odd. He was poached by AC Milan, then poached by us, now he's a league 2 player at only 20. If it was a loan it'd make sense, but permanent means he must be nae good. Presumably he was class only a couple of years ago, so god knows what we've done to him
  5. Probably daft wages but would take. Wouldn't play him ahead of Hall though, so he wouldn't be first choice, given he wants to move to get games
  6. there are some quite roasting posters at the minute
  7. Quite surreal that AC Milan loaned im from Cork to play in U18s, then turned permanent. Must have been a great talent. Luckily we've eroded that to the point he's joined a league 2 team permanently.
  8. I don't know if he offers much you don't get with Martinelli. Similarly frustrating but talented players. Is maybe more a Trossard replacement since he's 31 I guess. I just can't imagine Gordon starting for the league champions.
  9. I dunno, I feel like this is exactly the kind of game we'll lose if we give an indication of taking foot off the gas to the players.
  10. Van De Beek is my favourite. Signs for £40m, makes 60 appearances, sold for £500k to city football group it was as if they were taking the piss
  11. Who's the best Spaniard we've had? Enrique? Perez? Luque? 💔
  12. Wow, Real Madrid lost to Albacete in copa del rey good start for Arbeloa
  13. Correct. Having watched a few games, for some reason, they've actually not been too bad. They seem to play relatively well against better teams, and shit against lower teams, losing all games as a result. I'd go out really strong and try and get 1-0 up. Then make loads of subs and invite lots of pressure for 65 minutes.
  14. Hearts down to 10 after 15 mins not what's needed

    Lewis Hall

sign Hugo Bueno from Wolves, put Hall in CM
  16. Ramsey, Wissa, Elanga, Gordon, Barnes, Pope, Karius, Ritchie, Burn, Targett, Wood, Trippier, Ashby and more were all signed presumably due to prem/english experience. A couple worked of course but you can see it's not great value most of the time (excl. the freebies) It's quite clearly our transfer strategy for the most part, for better or worse, not just about Elanga.
  17. He is very good, wa great for Greece when I saw him too. Might be a late bloomer.
  18. I am joking but we can't really afford to sign £40m+ pre players and risk them falling short. Man City, Chelsea, Arsenal etc can stomach it easily but we can't. Feels we need to be taking some <£15m punts on promising youngsters and have a proper development programme for them. Unless it's a disaster you generally can make your money back, or at least not lose too much. It's quite weird we give really important jobs to random people like Harper and Shola and similar.
  19. Taking the 100% moneyball approach rather than our failing prem-proven approach, I've been scouring websites for youngest folk with the barest recent stats Here are my picks. To be fair Franculino's stats are insane, and have been for 3 seasons, and he's 20. Surprised he's not been nabbed. 20. what's everyone's thoughts on signing Mason Greenwood?
  21. That seems odd. They only just signed him for £21m+ and he looks decent when given a chance, with quite a few goals. Maybe they think he's garbage and just having a purple patch, but hardly seems worth selling for that much. Must be PSR related?

    Yoane Wissa

I have an idea https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/spieler/vertragslosespieler/statistik/1/plus//galerie/0?ausrichtung=alle&spielerposition_id=14&land_id=alle&altersklasse=&wettbewerb_id=alle&seit=alle&yt0=Show Just invite them all and see who turns up. Inject Jacob Murphy with performance-enhancing drugs and, with some sort of converted tennis ball machine, just get him banging in low cross after low cross. The 2 strikers with the highest conversion rate after 20 shots go to a bad foot sudden death, where they have to trap a wayward pass from our midfielders and get a shot away with the wrong foot. If it gets within 3 metres of either post, then they get a contract. Include Woltemade and Wissa so we have a control group for the test too.
