  1. When we got relegated I thought the world had ended. But this has been a wonderful season. First time in years that I'm proud of the lads and love each and every player and the manager.
  2. http://cache3.asset-cache.net/xc/98647240.jpg?v=1&c=NewsMaker&k=2&d=77BFBA49EF878921A343B2C87A49D8F56CFB275500A6B96A330D49A2977A047A7F5049D0179130F6 Love him.
  3. Hull getting relegated means I make some money. Good day indeed.
  4. Fantastic! Who'd have thought (if this stands) that we would end the season champions with over 100 points and undefeated at home?
  5. He is already on the pitch Yeah, I just edited my post. I'm feeling pretty stupid right now. Please ignore me.
  6. This might not make me popular, but I'm feeling slightly sentimental about Nicky Butt and hope he gets on for at least a few minutes. He hasn't been the best player for us, but he is technically our captain. He deserves a run out and a good ovation. Edit: Never mind. Apparently he's out there and I'm an idiot.
  7. Wish this was on tv so I could watch the trophy presentation. What a great day for our club, especially if we win.
  8. The collar one the white kit is smart. Would like that for one of ours.
  9. Everyone said we would struggle more than West Brom this year and wrote us off. I wouldn't be so quick to write us off next year. We have a starting base of players who are capable of performing in the EPL at some level (Enrique, Saylor, Colo, Raylor, Nolan, Guthrie, Barton, Jonas, Smith, Lovenkrands, Carrol), we have some young players with potential (Ranger, Williamson, Simpson, Kadar) and can bring in some new lads in the summer. What I'm trying to get at is that I don't think we're in that bad a position to rebuild. We're probably in a far better position than some of the other clubs that have come up recently and managed to stay up, at the very least. All things considered, I don't think the team we have now would have been relegated last year. I'm hopeful.
  10. Being able to watch more matches on TV and also playing Sunderland in the league.

  12. Not even a choice for me. I want to be champions.
  13. I haven't seen him play all that much but was watching West Ham on the weekend and Mark Noble looked a good player. Would be curious to know what people on here would think of us going in for him if West Ham go down.
  14. Just when you thought Pompey's season couldn't get any lower, they're having to wear this to Wembley. http://www.footballshirtculture.com/images/portsmouth-2010-kappa-home-kit-1.jpg
  15. This has me really worried about England in the World Cup. I hope he's truly fit and not being rushed back or this could end up being really ugly.
  16. Pointless to talk about the possibility of playing an under-strength team for this game. The players and staff have worked hard and want the title so we'll put out the best team we have available. The season didn't end when we got promoted. At any rate, I think we'll win this 2-1.
  17. If we can finish somewhere around 10th place, I'll be thrilled. There's no reason, with the size of the club and the support that we have that we can't stay up next year and slowly build a team that could compete for places in Europe. But that's a few years down the road, realistically. We've tried over the past few years to spend big and overreact when not getting great results and look where it got us. I welcome a few years of slowly building a club with dedicated and likable players.
  18. This. It's been a fantastic season and relegation wasn't nearly as painful as I thought it would be, but I haven't seen nearly enough NUFC games this season.
  19. I'll stand up and be counted. I had no faith when the season started. The lads proved me wrong in epic fashion.
  20. Hughton deserves a lot of admiration for his last two years with the club. I know he's not the best manager in the world, but he's done the job and deserves a chance to manage us in the Premiership next year. Great job!
  21. It would be a better moment to have us gain promotion because we won, but I just want it to be over. So I hope Forest don't get a result today.
  22. Yeah, I'm working too, but will have it on in the background on my computer. Not the same, though.
