  1. One thing is for sure, they won't be our sponsors once the current contract is up!
  2. For me this is the preferred league finishes. Newcastle Spurs Aston Villa Liverpool ------------- Blackburn Man City ------------- Everton Portsmouth Wigan Man Utd Arsenal Reading Birmingham Fulham West Ham Bolton Middlesbrough --------------- Derby Mackems Chelsea
  3. Just out of curiosity, why are Spurs towards or on the bottom for most? Has Jol said something that i've missed?
  4. The Dream will become a reality! Newcastle European Champions... here we come!!
  5. Yeah, impressive stuff... he has his head screwed on that's for sure!
  6. I'm watching it and recording on Sky + but no idea how to put it onto the comp??
  7. Haha, yes of course, it's all over for his newcastle career... he has horses to breed
  8. Given Geremi Rozehnal Cacapa Enrique Butt Milner Smith Viduka Martins Owen
  9. Big Sam shouldn't implement a rotation system in the back four. Communication and trust are key in the defence and if it is constantly being rotated, it will take a very long time for strong understanding between all the defensive players in the squad. Play whoever is in best form at the time, right now we have seen some impressive displays from the 2 new boys, Rozzy and Cacapa. Taylor has also been strong in defense (although admittedly, I missed the boro game). Taylor has mass potential at the young age of 21 whilst Rozzy and Cacapa have vast experience. It's hard to weigh who deserves to get into the side week in week out. But I truely believe that Rozzy should start - he has been very strong and showed very little weakness. I haven't seen much of Cacapa, only what I saw at the Villa game, but reviews have been positive. Play Rozzy and Cacapa, bringing Taylor on part way through the game. If we sign Beye the RB position is sorted with the possibility of one of the CB filling in (probably Taylor). For me the back four for the Wigan game should be: Beye (Taylor) Rozzy Cacapa Enrique That looks very strong. But Taylor needs the premiership experience, even if he does get dropped he will get enough games this season with injuries and drop in form.
  10. I can't stand f***in chelski!! Always trying to steal players away from our grasps! They don't even play half of them!!

    Geremi

Still got MOTM in The News of the World... Anyone notice that Martins won more headers that Dukes? Geremi would have definitely done better with a run up.
  12. I bought one yesterday.. nothing special.
  13. Was at the match yesterday and the Villa fans were a lot louder than we were at times. The Toon Ultras tried to start up a couple of chants/songs, but seemed to have given up during the second half. Once again the Villa fans said that our support was sh*te and at times they were right. As for the match itself, I was disappointed we didn't make the most of our first half possession and dominance. I felt that in the 2nd half Villa came back into it and O'Neil seemed to have motivated them enough to come out and close us down more successfully. However both teams gave away stupid balls and failed to make the most of the chances. We had passes intercepted loads more than they did, which is something we need to work on, but the midfield held firm when needed. Villa were all about the counter in the first half and it was similar in the second half with moments on threatening pressure. I thought a draw was probably fair, but we have highlighted some key problems in the team. One of which is obviously Carr, who gave away too much of the ball, struggled against Young and look very nervous on the ball. The sooner we bring someone else in the better!! Final 3rd was poor throughout the match and didn't seem to get the bounce of the ball in their 18yd box, which could have presented a couple of goals. Martins make some good runs which scared the Villa, but nothing came of it and his 1st and 2nd touches were poor. Dukes had a hot/cold game and I was disappointed in truth. Expected a lot more. Fantastic ovation for Owen, shame he wasn't match fit and sharp. Made some good runs, but midfield couldn't pick him out.
  14. If true, Belletti would be a brilliant signing for Big Sam. At 31 he is still in his prime, but at a later stage. He has fallen out of favour at the Nou Camp and this is the right time to move in. Very attacking, better defender than Carr... actually knows about the offside rule... so better than Carr there too! Sign him now!! Next 2 seasons he would be perfect, plenty of time to bring in a young prosperous player to take Newcastle to the next stage!
  15. Are we not seeing that right now with Dyer and Nobby? Players nowadays are clearly struggling with balancing family and football. Keane is spot on with his rant and in fairness to the mackems, yes that's right... shoot me now, Sunderland are better than some London teams, like QPR and I guess Fulham.... and yes the place might be a shitehole but its unfair to them that players families don't move to where they play their football.
  16. Patience! Sam said he wanted to bring in experienced players... you can't have enough experience of the premiership below the age of 25 imo. Sam has signed the right players for the club for this present time... of course younger and bigger players would come in, but we need to be successful in order to attract them!
  17. Shola is inconsistent and therefore championship standard! Not worthy of the black and white...
