  1. That photo reminds me of bobbleheads you used to be able to buy as a kid. ..were they called bobbleheads?
  2. The current home kit is for 2007/08 - 2008/09 I believe. We tend to change the away kit every year.
  3. It'll have been on a Spurs forum within minutes, too late, sorry. News just in that Spurs have signed the picture in a 4 year deal worth upwards of £15million. News conference and unveiling at WHL at 1pm
  4. Incorrect quote from N'Zogbia. Twisted slightly to hint at leaving. Nice one Louise.
  5. Off TalkSport: Heh, I'd love it if it was true.
  6. Heh, this didn't work out for me. I was living in Derby for nearly all of this season. Backfired somewhat. same here. Maybe I saw the wrong parts like. No, you didn't. You saw all you needed of Hull. I think it was voted the worst place to live.. or was definately up there.
  7. Lord Coe has told Sky Sports News he would like to see Sir Alex Ferguson manage the Great Britain football team at the 2012 Olympics. A Great Britain football team for the London Olympics has been a subject of debate for some time and Coe is all for it. Coe, the chair of the London Organising Committee of the Olympic Games, confirmed holding informal discussions with the Manchester United boss but did not divulge whether the Scot was interested in the post. "I would love to see Alex coach the team," Coe told Sky Sports News. "I can't think of anybody that frankly (more) deserves at the end of a stunning career to be in charge of young players here. He added: "I've spoken to Alex. "We know each other. We're good friends." Chelsea fan Coe's bid to land Ferguson first came to light two months ago, at which time United expressed a relaxed attitude about the approach. Ferguson was thought to be intrigued by the offer but reluctant to accept were it to interfere with his duties at Old Trafford. Door open The concept of a British team, which last entered the Olympic qualifying tournament with an amateur side in 1972, is controversial. Both the Scottish Football Association and the Football Association of Wales are opposed to it, with the former indicating they will attempt to block Scottish players from being picked to play. One of the reasons for their stance is the fear Fifa could strip the home nations of their special status, which guarantees each nation voting rights within the organisation. Fifa president Sepp Blatter initially claimed this would not be the case, but more recently said a British team should consist exclusively of English players. Coe insisted the door would remain "open" should the Scottish and Welsh FAs relax their stances. "I clearly want the best players - wherever they come from Northern Ireland, Wales, Scotland and England - to be there," added Coe "But I also recognise it is an issue for the individual football associations and the door is open." The venues for the football tournament in 2012 are currently limited to England, with Old Trafford, St James' Park, Villa Park and Wembley all to host matches. Coe said he would "love" to include Glasgow's Hampden Park and Cardiff's Millennium Stadium on the schedule. But he revealed he would not lobby the Scottish and Welsh associations to change their minds, adding: "I'm not going to get sleepless nights over it." http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11095_3565620,00.html Nice to see SJP as a venue at least.
  8. And there goes the credibility of your source
  9. Did a quick scan around google and found a few stories from the last 7 days with a few lines about us looking at/enquiring about Veloso and/or Moutinho.. Could be a grain of truth in it, could be a non-story. +25 pages within the next 12 hours
  10. Seeing Keegan treated with such little respect from some people when things didn't work out straight away. Watching the slide of form from what at first seemed like a fairly positive start. Being destroyed by Portsmouth within 10 minutes. Sometimes you can accept it throughout a whole match.. but 10 minutes?! Being let down by another false dawn. I didn't really expect a high finish and 12th would have been more-or-less acceptable for me (year of transition/other teams who are now on the up have had mediocre seasons before etc) but it was the way in which it all unfolded. We didn't have a go, we didn't have a clue and we didn't seem to care.
  11. That isn't murder, that's a mercy killing.
  12. Apparently Figo is threatening legal action because of the claims. It's just a perfect story with the fact that Figo got an injury the match following the feline murder
  13. How many midfielders do they want? If it turns out that they're still interested after getting Modric, I'll seriously start to believe that they're just buying for the sake of it.

Hablo - I speak Hablas - You speak (informal) Claro que si!
  15. I agree that Steve Bruce's Wigan will bend over nicely for Fergie. I hope Fulham stay up, as they've shown heart over the last few months.. The only team I'd really wanted to have gone down was Bolton, but there's no chance of that anymore. Hm.

Fuck off! That's one of my old bosses! Hahah. Small world.
  17. I used to work at the 50 Casino in London, some high rollers there.
  18. Nearly all the top South American youngsters in FM have moved to good European clubs IRL within the past year or so. Lulinha
  19. I think the last time was actually against West Ham. Aye, I think it was. At home last season. 2-0 down, Ramage went off injured, Milner with an offside goal and Solano penalty. 2-2.
  20. How exactly have you ended up in Wootton? Married your sister or something? Hahah, well I'm eventually moving abroad so I've moved back home to save money over the next 6 months or so. I'm in my early-mid 20s, can't drive and live with my parents in Wootton. I'm living the dream Oh, and I'm unemployed at the moment. Hah.
  21. Was nothing wrong with Rossi, just us underusing him. He's been excellent in La Liga this year. To be fair anyone can be "excellent" in the La-Liga..even players like Forlan and Kanoute are legends there.. Love the way you're speaking of La Liga like it's the SPL or something. Not really better than the EPL is it I'd say it's on par just about. Teams like Barcelona, R.Madrid, Valencia, Sevilla At. Madrid, Espanyol etc. would do very well in the EPL. Plus I think that beyond the top teams, La Liga contains more quality throughout generally. When you look past about 15th in the Premiership, there's a lot of crap. Dont be silly. Once you get past the top 5 or 6 teams in La Liga they're all very much Championship standard. Saying that nearly three quarters of the league is Championship standard is well harsh. I think it's a tighter league throughout, with more general quality in the lower half whereas the EPL has about 3-5 teams scrapping for relegation each year and generally being used for bigger clubs to pick up easy points. Don't get me wrong, I do love the EPL but it gets tedious after a while with people generally being able to predict where teams will end up, give or take the odd surprise like Reading last season or Man City this season. At least with La Liga there are a few more teams that could have a go. Last seasons title race was between 3 top quality teams that nearly went to the very last match.

  23. I pretty much missed the entire second half, due to a bit of work on and SSN not having anything to say at all. Any 2nd half highlights? Sounds like Martins played well.
  24. Never doubt The Bonk. If we were all in a bar now, you'd be stood on a table dancing and we'll all be throwing money in. I love football.
