There are 7 Emirates in the UAE, with the two most prominent being Abu Dhabi and Dubai. Both have a city within this Emirate with the same name. Abu Dhabi is the capital of the UAE. When the UAE formed in 1972 it was basically 7 families headed by Sheikhs coming together to form the country because before this it was very much broken up. Sheikh Zayed was a key factor in irrigation in the region and as such started the ball rolling on the area being a powerhouse for expats. The speed of growth has been incredible across the country. The rulers of the UAE (based in Abu Dhabi) are direct descendants of Sheikh Zayed.

If we didn't need another LW then what do we do when we sub Gordon, or he is injured? Barnes clearly contributes, but not as much as the starting LW. Seems straightforward to me.

I agree, and I wouldn’t be happy with that amount, but that’s what I believe he would go for. I wasn’t happy with ASM’s price either.

If he does get sold, it’s actually not ideal. We’d be going into our opening day fixture with one recognised RW, who some people also want to be sold.

If he was sold I imagine he’d end up going for 70-80 mil.

I just don’t get the comparison on any level. Longstaff doesn’t push forward that much and I think is guilty of hiding at times. Gordon is the polar opposite of that. both have the right team attitude though.

If he does sign, it’s a pretty fucking big statement of intent.
