Did anyone else use teletext for live scores way back when? I can always remember sitting with my uncle when Newcastle were playing Portsmouth and it was 0 - 0 until near the very end when it just changed to 1.. my uncle went absolutely mental! I was a bit too young to realise the severity of not getting a result that day, but it was always tense times with just me, teletext and page 1 of 3.

You'll just have to go without watching live matches, unless you actually travelled to the UK to watch some. I suppose some occasional illegal source would come up on the net, but it'd be pretty sparse. There'd be some online radio for you maybe.. or just live score updates.

I think that they obviously still do want it, but you must have noticed the same as I have just how toned down everyone tries to be in football. Nobody wants to put their neck on the line and make a statement saying 'We WILL do this' incase it backfires. Maybe it eases the stress on the players as well? It could be more damaging to aim for europe and miss rather than go for a strong league finish and just fall short. It's all bollocks anyway, the UEFA allocations for europe this season seem a bit all over the shop. 'Europa' my arse.

I'm allowed to think that Keegan's a cowardly prick for what he did in September while still acknowledging his legendary achievements in the past. This. What Keegan did all those years ago was an accomplishment, but I don't think real legends walk out and then sue you. I don't see how you can look at SBR still turning up in his condition (and after his shameful dismissal) and Keegan walking away, never to be heard from again, and compare him favorably to SBR. "I love Bobby Robson but..." is what strikes me as inappropriate, simply because he dared to call Keegan "yesterday's man."
