  1. It could just be that without ASM he's seeing more of the ball in wide areas as the onus falls on him to create, might be worth trying though.
  2. Fred levels of competence in front of goal there
  3. No good if they can't get it back in the net though.... almost
  4. Chelsea under immense pressure here
  5. Only we can relegate us now, so long as we don't get complacent and continue this intensity, teamwork and tenacity we've got enough momentum to finish lower mid-table.
  6. Rock bottom 1, only Everton can catch us up to our game week and only on goal difference. Form tables suggest we're clear but you never know, however after Howe and our new owners have got me so invested in football again I've been watching a lot of games and taken a close eye watching the teams around us it's hard to see how any of them get back above us now bar a real change in form. The only team to worry about below are Burnley, they'll almost definitely be safe but it won't be at our expense, they're just so hard to beat and will keep racking up the draws with the odd win while other teams around them flounder. If I was an Everton supporter I would be extremely worried right now, too many individuals in that team, no experience to handle the pressure of being down there and a manager who has limited experience as a manager and of relegation both as a player and manager. Too good to go down?
  7. We'd all pretty much written this squad off when he came in, simply not good enough, not enough quality to keep us up, the same squad Rafa had but 3 years older. What a difference he's made, slowly and steadily they look like different players. It can't be overstated the change in most of this squad, his January moves have certainly made a difference but its the core of what was already there that has catapulted us to a 7 game unbeaten run. I for one will hold my hands up and say I was underwhelmed but hopeful when he came in but he's smashed my expectations. I just hope he can grow with the squad because he deserves to take us to the next level.
  8. Can't remember the last time I've enjoyed watching us this much and been counting down the days to the next match. We've dictated the tempo perfectly, not looked like conceding and ruined them down the flanks. Unrecognisable team to just a couple of months ago and I'm here for it.
  9. Unlucky Wood, what's he got to do to score??
  10. Sounds to me like Maxi and Manq start on the bench, I can deal with that as hopefully we won't need them.
  11. We're like the adopted dog that flinches every time its new owner goes to stroke it
  12. Well that was a watch, felt Middlesbrough could have had a couple more there but chose to wind down the clock. Wilder rang the changes at half time and old Brucie was dumb struck again.
  13. I'm gonna have to tune in tonight just to see how gash they're playing, I hope they don't disappoint me.
  14. Whatever the end result is, I hope its not us and I hope it is Everton!
  15. Anything to protect media darling Brucie, they won't be looking too deeply at how the same players are night and day, it'll just be "oh they've got lots of money and spent £90m in the Jan window, Bruce was shafted by Ashley". Anyway not our problem anymore, let just enjoy him crashing and burning in a lower league club.
  16. I've said from the start that Bruno needs to replace Shelvey at some point, Willock is the only one capable of scoring goals and with Bruno's eye for a threaded early pass it could really unlock Willock's ability. We replace Willock with ASM and Wilson out then we offer no goal threat.
