Mad decision by spuds, they'll struggle to find a manager of his callibur now, why wait until the end of the international break though? Poch deserved time.
-
bruce needs to play him on the left ffs, i can't believe people aren't more annoyed it about it tbh it's so fucking obvious Probably because most of our fans have the football IQ of about 8. Combined
-
I'd fancy England to give anyone a game at Wembley, depends on how the last 16 and quarters fall for them but a semi and a final opportunity at home is a huge advantage.
-
Doesn't score = shit Scores = shit Can't fault the logic in that one, get him sold
-
5 is more than a few imo? Against us
-
So exciting going forward, so suspect at the back, a decent team would have scored a few here tonight
-
These fucktards have got the club they deserve.

Totally on board with this, all those things have repercussions in any place of work so they should have meaningful repercussions for players too. Got a lot of time and respect for Lampard.

Genuinely haven't stopped singing it in my head since watching it

I'm not entirely sure but I'm pretty positive that's engrained on my brain forever now thanks

I think you answered yourself there, Bruce is managing NUFC during a perfect storm, just like Pardew did. Rating him based on one season is akin to saying Pardew was a good manager. Rafa, Keegan, Bobby all did it over several seasons. He would get any praise he deserved but I wouldn't change my opinion of him based on one season vs 300-odd previous games in the PL, consistency is the key.
-
Just as Rafa didn't become a shite manager overnight for a string of bad results last season, Bruce hasn't become a good one either. Credit where it's due, he's got this team singing a tune at the moment 2 points off 5th after almost a third of the season is decent. However, I gave Pardew the benefit of the doubt after that 5th place finish and we all know how that ended. Even if this vein of form continues over the season and we finish top 10 Bruce will inevitably return to type and have us tumbling back down to earth. As loki679[/member] said before, it's all meaningless anyway when the height of ambition is 17th, pointless with Ashley in charge, a top 10 finish will see a barren summer as we'll be deemed a good enough squad to carry on as we were.

Of late he’s doing shit. Alreet Luke, wind it in

This comes down to brown envelopes and nothing else. This should be another nail in the Ashley coffin too but it'll be business as usual next game.

Why have you been touching your daughters best friend?

Rafa’s gonna give Bruce 50m of his own money to spend in January? This one is my favourite: https://twitter.com/SamChipperfield/status/1191423073200869378?s=19

His record at Newcastle is better than Rafa, so far. Can you read? I said if he'd have been given financial support, what has last season got to do with this one? It's an inane stat used to beat one of the best managers we've ever had with. Absolute mug.

I don't think it was just a case of pretending. With Rafa we had a crucial and powerful force within the club fighting against that current, that gave us a hope and a stake. This is it for me as well. When Rafa was here I knew he would fight for the sporting side of club with tooth and nail, he understood the fans and had the necessary leverage to force Ashley to go against his will. With the way he saved the club and built a bridge between the club and fans again I thought there was no way Ashley would be so stupid to gamble on not retaining him and eventually cave in to Rafas demands re: training facilities and transfer policy but for the umpteenth time I underestimated his ego. If Rafa couldn't force a change with the leverage and support within the club he had then nobody can. It has to be us fans that does it, and the only way to do it is to abandon the club until he hasn't got a choice but sell. Good results are only hindering the progress of the club so I'm just annoyed when we win or draw. Spot on, within the club there's only 2 people that can try and force Ashley on footballing matters, the manager and the MD and both are slimy arselick shills now. I always want the team to win but it'll get us nowhere and achieve nothing so it's pointless.
-
Yes he's also aloud to say it allowed
-
Boils my piss we've got this cabbage headed snake instead of Rafa this season, if we'd have kept Rafa and gave him anything resembling a transfer fund we could have done something this season. Outside of Liverpool, City, Leicester and Chelsea everyone else is beatable. A season where top 6 is truly up for grabs for a club with a modicum of ambition and we take a big leap backwards.
-
Yea, i still slightly feel something, but not much at all. The only reason wins will be good is if the fat cunt sells us in the premier league. Its the epitome of catch-22, we're a more attractive deal in the PL but if we stay up it vindicates Ashley's decision making and he'll be happy to trudge on doing the same thing. Go down and stay down and we become a weight around his neck and a money pit with no value to his brand, but we're likely to only get chancers wanting to buy us looking for a quick buck if they can get us back in the PL. Win or lose, it means nowt in the greater scheme of things other than proving a point. Glad we won but not really bouncing like I would be if it was Rafa.
-
Not a coincidence that Ashley gets locals on the payroll to sugarcoat his crap ownership. Shola, Carver, Beardsley and Concur previously. Now Bruce and Carroll to cement the unholy alliance for the next 12 months and wipe clean all memory of the dastardly ambition of Rafa Benitez. Its an horrific joke because so many absent minded supporters will take these idols word as gospel without a single challenge or attempt at research for themselves. Just wheel out another has been and get them back on side.

It was brilliant Very rare to watch a game that really grips you when you've no vested interest. Would love to enjoy one of our games and enjoy it that much again

What a quality game of football, entertaining start to finish
