Get ready for 65 minutes of sitting back and throwing themselves to the floor while we pass it about aimlessly left to right
-
That was something else, poor start here so far

Let's gooooo

This is just one of those hidden objects games isn’t it? Where its absolutely cluttered with stuff thats not supposed to be there and you've got a set time to find it all.

I think we can beat either over 2 legs if we play as well as we can play and we owe Barcelona one for allowing Trashford the keys to St James' we could have and should have been winning that match. Chelsea feels like it would be such a "meh" game, especially playing them in the league between ties. Whatever the draw brings, I just want to see us make a real account of ourselves, a quarter-final appearance in the CL would be a real statement and add a shine to what has been a predominantly dull season. It has been a slog but we can end it on a real high.

Let's not forget he's about to fold GAME too, he's an asset stripper not a custodian.
-
This is it for me, he had a poor pre-season (his own fault) but then got his worst ever injury before he kicked a ball in anger for us, you don't just come back from that as soon as you're declared fit it takes time to get back to elite levels, add in the confidence factor, new team, desperate to do well, etc... he's not getting any younger, he's already in his twilight which is why people are getting twitchy but I don't feel like we get to see the real Wissa until next season unfortunately.

Ramsdale what was that??
-
Proper stupid penalties those, said the same last week when we got one for the same thing
-
This is turning into a tough watch

Yeah we're still conceding sloppy goals, we still allow players to waltz between the lines and advance up the pitch without much resistance, but we've started to get better at keeping the ball and our own movement and fluidity up the pitch meaning we're not being constantly overrun. There's always going to be games we struggle in or it doesn't quite click, we've seen it in some of our best runs, but I genuinely think we've found something that works and will have more good games than the horror shows we've witnessed so far this season.

Sicknote hardly ever played anyway

Better still, win the CL!

I think its fair to say we've finally turned the corner, Howe has managed to get a song out of what he has available to him and we look like a decent side again that could beat anyone on our day. We ride the wave and we take each game in our stride and see where we are come the end of the season. There's teams dropping off, teams picking up and teams that are struggling to maintain any momentum. So its hard to gauge, we just have to play our games and see what opens up for us.
-
It makes it even more infuriating when we're getting constant fouls given against us, not just for doing the same thing but a few 50/50s were awarded to them too.
-
Ran out of steam and ideas as the game came to a close, still frothing over the Burn offside, can't see how a player can be deemed to be having an advantage when the defender made him have it. Second half was pretty much all us and overall I thought we played better than arguably the best side in world football. I think it's fair to say that the Howe corner has been turned once more. We deserved something from that game but I'm really happy with the performance and we didn't take a hawking.

I have no doubt Howe will play his strongest side and this new formation has been paying dividends, giving us more attacking prowess and fluidity in the front 4. But this still feels like a dead rubber to end all dead rubbers, real futility as City start the march to league victory that they do every year. I'd rip every limb off for a draw here.
-
I just find City inoffensive from a football perspective, like a floating, dead club with inoffensive fans. I almost admire their complete disregard to the rules and middle finger to the PL. Wish we'd be a little more like that. Arsenal on the other hand are easy to despise, from their manager, to their players and most of all their deluded, perpetually moaning fans.
-
Even if they won the league they would, its in their blood
-
I don't get the Wrexham hate personally, it's been fun to watch and interesting to see how far they can take them, its not just about pumping millions in, you have to get it right on the pitch and in the boardroom too and they've done a pretty good job of it tbf. Let them have their day and let their fans enjoy their rise, I'm fed up of seeing the same dross yoyo between leagues anyway.

As predictable as it is depressing, however we are at home and I'd back us to give any team a game at home. Once again, we're forced to do it the hard way.
