In HBA we had a player that could tear up the league, he was alienated and scapegoated by old fish lips and we'll never replace him. Unless we persevere with a player like Thauvin, who has potential, we're going to keep losing money like this because sure as hell we're not going to fork out the kind of money it'll cost to replace him. One thing's for sure, Townsend is not the answer.

I think the worry is a gap will start to open up. Tough fixtures coming up and confidence will only go downhill the longer we wait for a win. Obviously we're not down if we dont but there has to come a point where you start winning games. I think what defines it as a "must win" is coming into it on the back of that never-say-die performance against Manyoo. If we can't win when we have the confidence of that performance and the lift of a couple of new first team players that could make a real difference to our squad, when will we win? Lose and the confidence is drained again and it's another uphill battle, other teams pick up points and it's added pressure on us. I suppose you could say when in this position, every game is now a must win just to pull us free from the bottom. We're not in the Villa area of must win games but if Sundershite (Thanks SMB for giving me that one) keep picking up points and we keep dropping them we could end up further down the league very soon.

What I find bizarre is after 3 starts and 420 minutes of football, people are writing off a 22 year old in a new league?! He's averaged 26 minuted a match ffs, how is he supposed to gain any kind of form with those fleeting cameos? Insanity. We can't keep buying young potential and selling them on at a loss without letting them grow into the Premiership, it's a tough league and unless you're paying the big bucks you're not going to get someone that can walk into a premiership team and make a difference. Ayoze was an exception, not the rule. The trouble is this club want short term success with long term purchases, one of many of their "ideals" that's never going to work.

Not really sure what he could do when he was faced with a two on one? Where was Janmaat? He should've put some pressure on Rooney for starters. He did look like he broke his stride, it looked like he didn't want to risk getting skinned and shown up but if he'd have committed he would have got there in time to put his studs through it.

Long ball is only a sin when you've got FSA and Pardew hammering hit and hopes forward. Played correctly it's a good tactic, look at Coloccini, something like 96% pass completion last night and he knocked a few long ones forward to good effect. I don't mind a bit of direct play, just can't stand watching hoofball.

Good to see Jenas back us up after the Man U love in, even had Scholes agreeing with him after LVG said they could have scored 6 Scholes said we could have too. Just hope this isn't another one of those "top teams on TV" matches that are a flash in the pan. No excuse not to take that performance into West Ham on Saturday.

Needs to play out from the back more, his range of passing was second to none on the pitch yesterday, he's still to old to be the commanding centre back he used to be, made a couple of glaring mistakes as a defender but other than that had a solid game. We need more of this Colo.

Absolutely has to be the focal point of the team when he plays like this, unstoppable today, take a bow son.
-
Genuinely looks scared of the ball, you can see his brain going "fuck, fuck, shit, shit, shit." And he passes back or sideways to the nearest player. Getting him out of the squad will improve us immensely alone.
-
He was to blame there but he made some class challenges and his distribution was really good tonight.

Been subbed in like our last three games I think Ah, okay. Hopefully now he can sit permanently. People should be seriously offended that guy is playing in the Prem and earning what he does. It really is really baffling. He wouldn't stand out if you put him in a league two or conference side. Nothing player. Even when the entire team could smell blood and we're gunning forward he's stood spinning on the centre circle completely stopping the passage of play and passes back. Such a nothing, waste of a shirt, frustratingly shit, he needs to be nailed to that bench from here on in.

I disagree, I think we were robbed tonight and we did deserve a win. They scored one decent goal and they were given all the momentum with that shite penalty then denying us two legitimate claims ourselves. To be 2-0 down after 40 mins was a travesty. Man U had the ref to thank for the point they got from this game. I've got to agree with TRon on this one, we were the better side for the end of the first half and most of the second. Having said that if we weren't aggrieved I'm not convinced we'd have woken up. Still think we did enough to win this though. I'm still grating over the Rooney MOTM too, he played well but for me Wij was the best man on the pitch by a country mile, everything was going through him.
-
Wijnaldum should have been MOTM, he was everywhere and dragged us back into it on his own at 2-0 down.
-
Rooney MOTM are you serious? Other than his penalty and goal he's been anonymous!
-
Legs and heads have gone now
-
About time that sack of ginger horse shite came off
-
Mitrovic returning to form there
-
Wijnaldum is a fucking beast
-
Fuck off Colback! You useless ginger prick!
-
How are we not winning this?!?

Mitro you fucking delightful bastard!!!
