Solid player, PL career of 1 in 4 from LW, functional but not as exciting as his predecessor. I think he'll do well, be reliable and only improve under Howe. NGL losing Maxi to fund this deal though has taken the shine off it.

I'll be gutted to see him go tbh, I have a soft spot for French mercurial talent, would have liked to have seen him play with an equal danger player on the right. Yes, his end product is questionable and yes he can be frustrating but the space he brings to other players by dragging 2 or 3 players with him to the corner was invaluable and there's no player I'd rather see full tilt running at a defence on the counter and putting players on their arse. He's one of the most entertaining players I've ever seen when he's on one.

He literally made me want us to lose every week, he got some great wins when he was here and the 4-4 will forever be one of, if not the best comeback in PL history. However, along with some scattered elation came a lot of absolutely dire performances, record numbers of 3+ goal losses and a penchant to blame everything but himself for some horrific tactical displays. It's nice that he only has good things to say about the team, the city and the supporters, but he will always be the slimy, rubber lipped womaniser that blamed the Notting Hill Carnival for yet another tepid display of anti-football. I'm glad he's gone and don't look back fondly on anything he "achieved".
