Yes, that would be more fair. A least the get something for finishing higher in the table.

I had nothing to do 2 months ago and started playing in excel. I was basically looking at how past promotion teams have actually fared in their first season in the Premiership. They did better than i thought. http://www.ismennt.is/not/sturla/myndir/promotionchart.JPG

It is a bit unfair that a team who has earned the 3rd place through out 46 game season doesn't get the reward of promotion. Statistically over the past 17 seasons the promotion changes are as following: 3rd - 29% promotion change 4th - 18% promotion change 5th - 35% promotion change 6th - 18% promotion change EDIT: During the 1994/1995 season there were only promoted 2 teams (the league went from 22 teams to 20) so the playoffs were between 2nd - 5th. So I counted the 3rd place winner as a 4th place winner.

Wish granted

This seems much easier now than in the beginning of the season

Enrique is really threading the balls through the defence. Excellent passing!

It's confirmed, we are up :colo:

He always looked a bit out of his depth with us, I was staggered to see how many goals he has scored this season, quite incredible. Happy for him, though, always had a good attitude. 7 of those goals are penalties.

Nope, didn't see it on their schedule
-
That was a weak red card. But it all evens out in the end of the season

I think Fulham have got to be the favorits then.

Is anybody using the nufc.co.uk stream, doesn't work for me

The Bassong transfer was a real find, without arguing who found him Players from the French top division are not likely to want to come over here.

I would pick Roy over Hughes everytime. Would love him at Newcastle, plays football I like to watch. But I still answered yes to Hughes as I saw it as a Yes/No question, like Hughton or Hughes.

Answered yes. He is a proper manager. Did good with little money at Blackburn. Not that I want Hughton out, but I still have doubts about him managing in the PL.

http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11678_5689137,00.html From SkySports.com: Lovenkrands reveals problems Newcastle forward getting over off-field issues By Kent Hedlundh Last updated: 11th November 2009 Subscribe to RSS Feed Enhanced Multiples Newcastle forward Peter Lovenkrands has revealed that off the field issues have prevented him from playing as much as he would like. The Dane agreed a three-year deal at St James' Park on transfer deadline day. Lovenkrands had finished last season with Newcastle, but then had rebuffed their initial offer of a contract before signing in August. But he has been limited to just three league starts and he admits personal problems have got to him. "You of course want to play more games, but I have had a few personal family problems lately. And I've missed a few games because of these," Lovenkrands told Onside. "But now things should be back on track, so I can focus on football again. "I hope that this will lead to more games that I start, but I will take it nice and easy and see what happens." Lovenkrands is happy to see things going so well on the pitch. "It looks good now," he said, "But there are many games in The Championship, and a lot can happen if you get in to a bad run." He did look better last season when he was playing with us in the prem. If he gets himself fully commited he can be a real asset to us.

Could sign him as a player/coach and use him like Harry used T.Adams at Pompey....
-
What about Beye. Don't know why, but he's hardly making the bench at Villa. Perhaps he would welcome a loan move back to us?
-
I counted only 17, 18 if you count the cup too.
-
Perhaps a page too long.
