  1. Agreed with Interpolic's ratings. Thought Gosling was uncomfortable on the right and offered next to nothing. Abeid played well I thought - though I think we lacked a physical presence in the middle that Tiote usually offers. Disappointed in Fergie, thought there were times he could have had a run or make a simple pass and instead tried to hoof it long, but he's still young and had just come back from injury so it's not surprising he was rusty. Watching Perch and Colo at the back was like chalk and cheese. Really showed what a classy player Colo is. Controlled, calm, strong in the air. Contrast with Perch who looked very uncomfortable on the ball. Wouldn't necessarily say he was utter dog shite last night but it was clear that he is essentially a Championship standard player.
  2. This guy was absolutely immense last night. Forest looked shit scared everytime he got the ball. Like HBA, his touch, technique and passing were superb. Such a shame that we didn't have an equal threat on the right hand side of midfield with Gosling wanting to drift in. Got great end product too. Looking like another good buy.
  3. Agreed. A top top player. Calm and collected on the ball and also beginning to grow into the captain's role. Leads by example. Tremendous player. Let's just hope he's given another contract this year - he's simple invaluable to us at the moment.

    Hatem Ben Arfa

Was a privilege to see him play last night. His close control, touch, vision and passing were sublime. Considering that was his first game back I think he played exceptionally. Love the bloke.
  5. Would love us to smash them, but can easily see this heading into extra time at 1-1 or 0-0. If pushed I'd agree with Supertoon and say 1-2 to us. No long ball shit tonight please Pards. Let's try and play it on the deck.

Can't fucking wait to see them tonight.
  7. Saw the highlights today having watched the game yesterday, that Suarez really is a fucking twat. Good player, but a big fucking twat. Doglish is also a cunt.
  8. Pardew absolute must give Ferguson a chance, particularly at this level. We need to see what the guy can do at LB on a more regular basis, especially if Santon's knee might once again flare up. Would love to see us play a passing game similar to Saturday as well. Regardless of what team is put out, we have the capacity to cause them problems.
  9. Is Guthrie fit again yet? Might we be seeing him in for Cabeye tomorrow if Gosling is still out?

    Hatem Ben Arfa

So is the plan to start him or to bring him on as a sub?
  11. Nottingham is a 45 minute to an hour drive away so cba with doing that tomorrow. Will ring in the morning. Hopefully I can book them then and collect them from the ground on the evening of the game. If anyone knows if that's possible say or forever hold your peace. That's what I'm doing. Driving up and collecting an hour or so before kick-off.
  12. Lampard looks like a complete passenger today.
  13. Stand up when Nottingham Forest score. Cheers chaps. Much appreciated.
  14. First Toon game that I'll be sitting with the fucking home fans. Any advice from seasoned match-goers as to how best to fit in? Fucking dreading it.

    Yohan Cabaye retires

Absolutely fantastic today. Chuffed to bits to have him. What I love most is his professionalism - seems a top top player and a top top guy. Not afraid to get stuck in both on and off the pitch. Really hope he stays fit and kicks on. What a difference from Nolan.

    Joey Barton

Been far more controversial already since his move. Also apparently threw a bottle of water over Shaun Derry during a BBC interview. Perhaps it's just Joey trying to find his place!
  17. Had to be that cunt Agbonlahor to score an all. Can't fucking stand the ugly bastard.
  18. We'll play like shite again and lose either 1 or 2-0 unfortunately. Team selections and tactics so far indicate that we'll not take the game to them. They'll have an easy day I fear.

    Alan Pardew

Think dave's right here. Pretty obvious the players we've brought in are not Pardew's signings. That he puts consistent faith in Shola, who's frankly been worse than shite in every single game he's played so far, speaks volumes IMO. Absolutely ridiculous. No reason whatsoever why we couldn't have set 4-5-1 tonight. Will be interesting to see what he does with HBA when he's back.

Canny. Fucking immense. Might be going to that - shame I'll be in with the fucking Forest lot.

    Sunderland...

An absolute travesty that we were not in for him. Especially on loan with a view to a permanent. Irrespective of what anyone says about him being too similar to the strikers we already have, he's a good player and a far far far better option than Shola or Loven. Think he would have linked up with Cabeye and HBA well tbh.

    Hatem Ben Arfa

Even if he does come back 'half the player', which I think is unlikely, he'll still be a great asset for us. And, even if he loses some pace, which again, is unlikely given he had a break rather than ligament problems, no way would he struggle like Owen. HBA is a very technical player who'll find his role quickly in the team.

    Free Agents

And a 'big name' signing too!! How old is Hesselink now, going by FM looks good but plays shit. 32/33 I think.

    Alan Pardew

Correct me if I'm wrong, but where has this idea that Sturridge was acutally available come from?

    Alan Pardew

I agree that it's defo worth waiting until we find a quality forward. But sadly in the meantime we've got to rely on Ba and Best. Beyond them, we're simply fucked. Here's hoping Sammy turns out to be the next Ronaldo
